double resonated midpipe?

Hey guys, I am looking to get rid of my cat soon after seeing in person eddie's midpipe, however, his car was loud as hell and I don't think I could live with that, however, shooting flames is a big boost lol

I was wondering whether there are even such a thing as a double resonated midpipe? if so are there any for the rx-8?

extra question, if all midpipes are basically the same(just a straight through pipe) which one is the quitest?

btw, eddie if u r here, is yours resonated? what brand?

I got one made up specially . Also fitted some extra muffling to the tips . It is still real loud and drones at low rpm but the tone is sweet .

Also - someone here recently got a dual resonated pipe from Agency
Power .

That's me with the dual resonated AP midpipe. I'm receiving it tomorrow and plan on posting a video as soon as I can find a video recorder... Been running around today with just my OBX header on... All I got was a head ache...

ya, I just called Agency Power. They told me they had an extra midpipe, as the guy was talking too me on the phone he mentioned the midpipe having 2 resonators. I told him I've never heard/seen any AP midpipe with 2 resonators, only 1. As soon as that bit of info settled in my head, I had too buy that midpipe...

I asked if they made any more and he told me that they didn't... The guy I talked too was named Matt ext. 250 if you call Agency Power.

I don't believe it will help much if my experience is anything to go by . Charles RH told me it wouldn't work but I had to give it a try

Sorry for hijacking this thread, I just have a quick question. I started a thread on it but have yet to get an answer. Lately I have been hearing a rattling sound when my rear hits a bump. So last week I put my car on ramps and checked underneath. All seemed nice and tight, what I did find is that if I hit both exhaust canisters they sound as if there are small pieces of metal in there. If the baffles have broken inside the muffler can this pose any issues? Once again sorry, a response would be greatly appreciated. Now back to your regular scheduled program.

someday it would shoot out of the exhaust, if it gets stuck, your car back fires and your engine is fucked....

You may just see if one of the hangers is hitting. Had that happen to me, not too much of a problem, just bent it down a little and fixed the problem.

When i was underneath the car I hit the canister and you could hear the metal.

care to explain how a backfire with a tiny loose piece of metal in the exhaust will "****" your engine???

lets see........

*clink clink clink*......if not go *CLANK* and then fall off(unlikely....since its in the muffler) then SOMEDAY, I'm not saying soon, but I can form a menta picture where it will be a *clink* then no sound then kapoosh kapoosh, pressure.......:D

I suck at cars, but gas pressures+limited space = will try to escape somehow and the easiest way would probably be going back, or blow a hole through your exhaust wall

unless this entire scenario is wayy of base
(swoope, help me pls) then yea

I will obviosly get it changed but I just want to know if it should be doen right away or if I can wait till next spring. I also know little about cars, just looking for answer from someone that can back up their conclusion. No offence to anyone though.
