Do I need the K&N Air Filter for the Revi Intake?

I'm going to be buying the Revi Intake w/ the Ram Air Duct, but do I need the K&N Air Filter as well? What exactly does it do btw?

You don't need to buy any extra parts with the REVi intake. Everything you'll need is included.

What does what do? The filter?

K&N is just a brand name.

Racing Beat actually uses a K&N air filter with their REVi
