I have the .NET C# code I wrote to analyze and extract those data. If anyone interest access the source code, PM me. Of course, the caveat is that you cannot use the code commercially and must share your finding with the community if you decide ask for the source code.

I already have my handful and won't have any budget to spend on hardware for the testing. Hoping someone might be able pickup the tap and start from there.

I'll publically ask you for the code... I'm doing allot with C# lately, and I agree to the license you have spelled out... when we have stuff identified, I'll personally test on my own car.

EDIT: I sent you a pm with my email address.

omg... um ok... passenger side of the car... open the hood, look to your left.. Are you serious?

EDIT: if you take a look at the emanage forum, the CZ install thread will show you exactly what you need to know.

not sure if this was an honest question, but that thread will show you in great detail where it is at.

I noticed he only has 10 posts, so it's prolly just a simple question... it just kinda floored me is all... here is a link that shows removal and installation of the cz unit, which shows the ecu location and housing etc.

so, anybody got a part number for the plastic rivets with integral tie wrap that secure the wire harness to the ECU containment box lid? I can't find it in the parts listing and neither can the local stealership parts guy. I also broke those stupid lock tabs off the lid ...

i replaced those buggers once (unfortunelty i don't have the paperwork) and then a few months later the mechanic at the dealer destroyed them as well as my ecu cover (which i also replaced myself) while replacing my intake manifold

perfectionism does run strong with the RX-8 group, but a plastic rivet shouldn't really be that big of a deal guys.

I'm am new to this forum and the RX 8. Most of my car knowledge is about Fox body Mustangs, so I went completely opposite when I bought my car about a month ago.

Seems like typical bolt on mods aren't worth nearly as much horsepower/torque as they were with my last car, '94 Mustang Cobra.

Hmm... and RP makes the short-throw shifter that they sell... and RP says he is going to use ECU reflash for tuning for his S/C kit... hmm...

Anyway... the JDM tuners have all partially or fully cracked the ECU... so it's definitely doable. There is hope...

Grip Video Volume 6 (The one with the red FD on the cover.)

Those are screen captures. That part of the video is in a fast forward sped up time frame - the reason some pics are blurry.

Looks like what Astra does. not exactly end user freindly in a country the size of the US. sillyness really. needs to be flashable via a box sent to the end user.

Just sending the unit to be re-flashed isn't a bad option, though. It would just put our cars out of commission for 2-3 days.
