NJ cobb access port question

Hi all..
I just purchase an AP from a member on here, and I didn't see a usb dongle.
I cannot get it to install in my car. do I need this?
it came with mini usb to usb to computer cord and a 10 pin connector to the obd2
please help me varafied this would greatly appreciated.

The Ver2 units had an OBD2 that goes straight to the COBB unit without an adapter dongle...it should plug into the COBB unit if you have the correct parts.

Yes you need it to install. Usually when someone sells a used AP, they have to uninstall it from their car first, was this done?

Loki-- he said he unmarried it, basically uninstalled it. I guess this sucks. If I have to spend another 85$ for the dongle replacement. . Could of almost bought it brand new. :/ but idk, I'll just Cobb and see what's up. Thanks for your help guys.

Okay I just confirm that the version I have don't come with a dungle, it's the newer version. The only problem now is that I can't get it to connect with the ecu, in others words, I can't get it to go to the install option when I plug it in. It will just go to monitor. But I can read readings on the monitor options. Any suggestion fellas? I'm beginning to rule out that the seller didn't properly had it unmarried. Hmmm.

Okay so this guy that I bought it from never had it uninstall. It's still in (state installed) I'm screwed.

Yup.
That sucks man.

If you send it back to Cobb they'll reset it for you .. at some rediculious fee .. I can't recall
