Clutch recommendation

Hey all... I searched a few times for this, and didn't really find what I wanted.

I'm at ~55k, just recently flashed with Access Port Stage 1 & added the Mazsport Ignition system.

More often recently when I get on it, I'm starting to smell clutch. Based on experience in other Japanese cars, 55k is a reasonable time to start thinking about a new clutch.

I want something that can hold more HP than factory, but doesn't feel like a weight machine when I'm trying to shift. Hopefully as smooth as factory.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks Guys!

The closest thing I can *Think of* is ORC's 250 clutch, it has a pink Pressure plate. Easy to tell.

but unless you're going to get some *serious* horsepower. Stock clutch is good enough.

Or maybe the SPEC's Stage 1 Clutch from CRH. Pm Him.

I came from ACT's HD clutch back to stock, ACT HD set can hold I think 20% more than stock, but in the end I went back to stock setup.

so I can tell ya that its kinda pointless to go stronger Than stock clutches unless you're going to turbo/Super charge it later.

If u want to have *faster response*, you might want to think of Replacing your Flywheel with a lighter one

stock clutch is an Exedy rated to about 350 HP.

But if you are going to change the clutch as its worn, I'd recommend switching in a light flywheel at the same time. great little mod. Very "feelable" and not too expensive if you have to do the clutch labour charges anyway....

I'm thinking of going FI if I can ever afford it. Anyone have good experience w/ a stage 2 clutch? Again, I'm really going for a stock feel if possible.

Thanks!
