Hey all, just ordered my first modification, the greddy sp 2 exhaust, i was shopping around and ended up getting it for only about 480 SHIPPED!!! So I figured I would pass on the savings, if any1 is interested, this is the lowest price i found anywhere...

That is a good price. I see they have the Greddy Turbo listed for $2,900 also.

I've never heard of these guys before, anyone every use them?

Wow, $2,852.60 is a GREAT price for the Greddy Turbo, plus I have ordered gauges from them in the past they are pretty good. Based in AZ.

They take their sweet *** time and they're jerks, but the price is right.

LoL its not "loud" enough and im going to put it on sale i think.... their a is a blue gs model here who said he will take it off my hands i only had it on for about 1km i cant make up my mind... but i called maurice today and he said he would email me back on the quote of the greddy exhuast... did you buy your exhuat from the us? how much shipping did they charge you? im just waiting for a CZ unit to go on sale ... and i called RE today to put a pre order through they said 2 weeks so summmer is loooking good

It amazing how these companies are ruining the market. They are seriously making $100 off a $4000 turbo kit and selling the exhaust at cost.

How can you say they are ruining the market? Maybe they "can" sell it at that price because they want the exposure and recognition. Imagine all the people that have already gone to their site to look at the lower prices. I think it's a great idea for them to offer it cheaper to get the good word out there for their store. Imagine a company that offered expensive stuff... eventually that one customer will never return, nor will they ever tell someone to go there.

i am saddened, they called me today and told me the price was wrong online. I spoke to him for a bit and he said he would discount shipping for me so i ended up paying about 520... he said they would update the site by tomorrow. oh well, at least my exhaust is on its way... at least, it better be!

PS shipping went to about 50 instead of like 75 they quoted , and im having it shipped to san jose, CA. And I had to talk to him for a bit to get that discounted. he just was all like yeah the price was wrong so wanted to get the ok to charge the right price, I was like wait... arent you gonna help me out here, I was told this price finally he was like ok we will take some off shipping cost

Renesis, let me know whenever you get it/installed. I am from San Jose, CA too and I'm looking to put exhaust on my 8 and I would really love to hear how the Greddy sounds before I buy it!

Thats now how this business works. Just about every distributor out there has a dealer agreement that you wont low ball products and you keep pricing listed around a certain price.
You dont see anything wrong with them making $100 off a $4000 item? Sure its great for the consumer but it kills everyones ability to make a profit and stay in business. The goal of the seller is to keep the prices as high as possible and make the most money. Unfortunately there are always a couple shops that ruin it for the rest of the market. It looks like they admitted their pricing is wrong.

So if this company is low balling everyone else, why wouldn't GReddy enforce this agreement to sell around a certain price point? Would GReddy not pull them from their vendor list? I see where you say, "just about every distributor", why wouldn't GReddy have this with all their distributors?

I still don't see how this is the case. I can show you at least 5 websites that have different prices.. with Greddy Products to HKS stuff. Ranging from prices like your's to Hopupracings, to IntenseMotorsports, to Vivid's, to Bulletproof, etc.. not exactly the same, but you know who has the lower prices, thus people usually go to them first.

The goal of the seller is to sell their products as much as the market can afford to pay and still make a profit. Not to Keep prices high. Not sure which business model that is to keep prices high...

The problem is that not everyone goes straight thru Greddy for their products. Most people use one of the Greddy distributers and they dont enforce the pricing.

You are correct that the goal of the seller is to sell at what the market will pay. The problem is that its not the market dictating these low prices but its the couple of shops that ***** out these kits to make a buck on. These shops are too stupid to realize that they can sell these kits and still make $5-600 per kit. People will pay that price if thats what shops are listing them at. In this market where people are willing to pay for parts, its the shops that need to set the pricing and not the consumer.

But if shops can sell them cheaper and hence sell more at that price, and gain the market share to continue doing so...then that becomes the market price. Right? Its not like these shops are dumping 'em on the market so they can then subsequently go out of business due to a lack of profits, this is simple competition as far as I can tell. As a consumer, I just can't see this as a bad thing. I can see where if I were a competitor I would not necessarily appreciate it of course :D
