The hose usually comes with the catch can. If not, you can get hoses, breathers, vacuum plugs, etc. at your local Auto supply store. Major one's are Lordco in Canada, or AutoZone in the US.

Who does your oil changes and do they pour it in real fast?
Do they use a funnel at all to get it below the hose on the filler neck?
I've had mine in for over a year, and I really have never seen any go in it at all and I check it about once a week.

I don't know what is causing this, but ever since I had my engine replaced 5 months ago under warranty (in Nov. 2010), it's been blowing back oil through the oil filler tube. It only happens when I am accelerating hard, but it doesn't happen every time. The catch can was pretty much empty for the past month since I got it, until just recently when I checked the catch can, it dumped a lot in there all at once. The old engine that was replaced never did that.
I don't think it's anything I'm doing, unless there is something I've overlooked.

Just to update.
Several of months ago I had problems with my RR carbon fiber catch-can. It ended up leaking oil from one of the side windows, as well as the bottom edge of the can, and blew oil out of the breather filer and into my engine bay (see pics below).
I suspect the glue that holds the windows and bottom end cap together, gives way under high temps. There is also mesh metal screen located on the top half of the catch-can. The oil intake opening on the can dumps the oil directly on top of this metal screen, which is supposed to slowly drain to the bottom of the can. Problem is, the holes in the mesh screen are too small, so it easily clogs and oil builds up on top of the screen. This oil ended up blowing out of the exit hole. The breather filter was drenched in oil, and had some oil splatter all around the can. This totally defeats the purpose of a catch-can.
Good thing I had a breather filter on, as this oil would of ended up back in into my intake. This catch-can looks good, but has a horrible (flawed) design and I don't recommend it. It's also sold by Simota and other companies, just re-branded.
What's funny is when I reverted back to my old ghetto catch-can (a plastic minute maid bottle), I've never seen a drop of oil. I recently bought different catch-can, I'll post pics of it later.

I have not had this problem and see Zero oil in my intake with this catch can

Yes, I did leak-test the can with air and then water when I initially received it, and it didn't leak. But it's a different story when you have the stresses of hot oil and gasses being dumped into the can, combined with the heat of the engine bay. If it isn't constructed well, it will fail over time.
I also think the internal design of the can is flawed. I'm not sure what the designer of this can was thinking, and had I known this I would of not of purchased it. The can has the intake depositing the oil directly on a mesh screen at the top of the can, which doesn't make any sense. It would of been better with no mesh at all, or if the intake pipe was extended beyond the mesh screen. A good catch-can design has a path for the oil to drain directly to the bottom of the can, while filtering the exiting gas.
I assume the side windows are held in place by some kind of high-temp adhesive seeing as it can't be welded into place. Which would explain the leak when under the stress of heat.

Hmmm, I haven't put many KM's on my catch can.... about 7000ish, I have emptied it twice and found that it had collected only condensate (typical around here because of the drastic temperature changes between night and day throughout the summer).
So far the consruction seems to be holding together. It is sitting right beside my greddy turbo intake above my BHR undertray; maybe it is seeing less heat than other places in the engine bay? I will have to keep an eye on this can though.

Update: After doing a lot of research, I purchased the 42Draft Designs Stealth Catch Can about 9 months ago (bought it with the quick-drain fitting).
I must say, it has got to be one of the best catch cans out there. Very high build quality both inside and out. No leaks or anything at all.
It's made for VW's, so the fittings are 3/4". I had to buy 3/8" F to 3/4" M brass fittings to convert, but it works well. Re-used the RR mounting bracket from previous setup.

My horse is amazing.
Old thread, I know. It looks like a lot of you are running the various style eBay catch cans. Do these have any kind of baffling inside or can you even open them to see?
