It's in Belgium. I'm in Belgium. I'll call them on Tuesday (Monday is Bank Holiday).

interesting, and it looks like it piggybacks so reflashes wouldn't be a problem. however with the need to self tune the Canzoomer unit in most cases, I'm not so sure their gains would be seen by everyone.

As promised, I called CTH Tuning. Thay admitted the Power-Box they fit on the RX8 is only a MAFS fooler that cheat the PCM into thinking the air intake temperature is cooler. It's like the resistor on the AIT sensor, only 10 times more expensive....
They say gains are minimal. And I say they are nil.

No PCM re-prog here unfortunately.

you've got to remember the euro cars are detuned to 225 horsepower, so there's a LOT more locked away in their ECU than in ours.

Yaeh, right. The official EU power figures are 141 kW for the SP and 171kW for the HP. Where did you get this 225 hp figure from???

You've got to remember that the EU is the only place in the world where the authorities do actually check the torque and power firgures issues by manufacturers. During homologation first, teh test is witnessed by an official. And after that, at the engine plant, they take any two engine and ask for the performance figures to be repeated within +/- 5% of the homologated figures.

The RX8 is listed in EVO magazine for the european version at 228 hp. Which, by all accounts seem to be a much more accurate rating than our 238 hp listed here in the US.
