Think about it for a few minutes. Did you by chance do any data logging, I am curious to see what the pressure fluctuations looked like at the MAP sensor. Hope this helps, Scott
I think your implying that the engine will need more fuel than you would think due to the less than ideal atomization, therefore it needs to be richer than you think, and possibly injected earlier due to lag?. I've attached some screen shots for public consumption:

whats interesting to me is, I have screen prints from dave's tune you guys did, and he appears to be running leaner than I in the 6000rpm+ range

I don't claim to know everything and am always learning more everyday. I do not however put much trust in just a dyno chart to determine the overall gains that a certain mod has given as no single dyno chart published by anyone anywhere tells even remotely close the entire story. If we could have dyno print outs that were in 3D that showed all loads and rpms rather than full throttle only, then we'd get the whole story. I find it absolutely ridiculous for a person to judge a product based on it's gain on a measly little dyno chart. Dyno numbers sell products but that's about all that most people get useful out of them even though they can do so muc more. How many times do we see a person say that a product only got a 5 hp increase so it isn't worth it? 5 hp where and at what load? What rpm range is that over? Where's the rest of the story that we should really be focused on. My comments are aimed at the mindless morons out there who only care how much hp gain the mod had at peak power at full throttle. For all practical purposes, it is a comletely worthless variable and almost no emphasis should be put on it as a judge or performance. While brillo's car may have only shown a 5 hp increase peak at full throttle, the Interceptor does far more than this and a dyno doesn't show it. It is so much more than a 5 hp mod. A HUGE majority of people do not understand this and only care about a single aspect of a 3 dimensional problem. When put in the right hands, a dyno is a useful tunign device. In the wrong hands it is nothing more than a billboard used to sell product.

different tuning for differnt 8s. weve all sen this before. no 8 is the same. you may be able to get more peak hp then i can with your exact tuning then i can with the same tuning. but isnt that awsome? makes the 8 so personal. its uniquly yours. your tune your hp your timing your stye.
