Same thing happened to me as well. The hanger ended up piercing through the corner of the box during shipping, and bag of screws, etc. ripped open, and fell out the hole. I contacted Charles, and he quickly responded and shipped out the missing stuff the next day. Great service on his part.

Just a suggestion to whoever is doing the packing - might be a good idea to place some foam or something around that hanger. Place the screws in a heavy-duty bag of some sort (that can't rip open easily), and tape the crap out of that bag to the pipe.

Apparently Moroso must have improved their Spiral-Flo resonator since mine hasn't failed or broken following two racing seasons. Pretty decent for $100 with easy slip-fit connections provided

Moroso 94055 High Flow Racing Muffler 3 in. dia. Spiral Baffle w/Advanced Gas Dynamics/Noise Cancellation Acoustics Stainless Steel

There is also a 2.5" version for non-3" mp fitment

.
I had the 94055 welded into my TXS midpipe this Sunday and the improvement in tone is very welcome. All the rasp and harshness are gone and it sounds deep and aggressive without being embarrassing to start up in the morning. It really isn't all that much louder than stock on startup. There is still a bit of highway drone but the loudness of it is seriously cut down from the as delivered TXS setup.

Team, thanks for the suggestion

Never mind the fact that they were successfully sued by the guy who makes my mufflers for patent infringement, which is why Rob cannot sell his house now. LOL

Uh, thanks then. Sorry, I didn't know it was like that.

5 years of turbo goodness on my midpipe and it's still one of the best mods I've purchased. Thanks for all the great service throughout the years Charles!

^ Yes.... seems like it was spark blow out, with the excess fuel igniting in my exhaust after exiting the engine showing up as a lean spot. Leaning out my tunes solved the problem, but then I found a recently acquired boost leak through my wastegate actuator. So now I need to find a new actuator but the car is in storage for the winter now....

I'm now getting a sound like a piece of the sheet metal has broken and is buzzing like a reed. Is this consistent with the failures you've had?

Yup, that was the common failure with the original prototypes. I had a piece of Moroso resonator in my catback for a while after I borrowed one of the prototypes for about a month and a piece broke off in that time. Plenty of buzzing from the resonator, then buzzing from the resonator and rattling from the broken pieces banging around.

8 months later I bought one of the final midpipes, zero problems with 55,000 miles put on it in all weather. A $100 resonator may be cheaper than a $500 midpipe, but a $500 midpipe is cheaper than a $100 resonator and then a $500 midpipe when the $100 resonator fails.

The Moroso unit has gonefrom occasionaly buzzing at midrange rpm and full throttle to constantly now, even at idle. I'll be ordering the BHR resonator. Charles, does the BHR resonator have a history of similar failures?

Mine BHR resonator has been perfect so far, including a total of 2 full hours of time on a roadrace circuit.

Not starting a new thread for a simple question.

I had a BHR midpipe sitting uninstalled and decided to sell it. I am satisfied with my MazSport DR midpipe other than fitment issues which require removal of the tunnel braces. The MazSport midpipe with my Greddy EVO-TT catback creates a great tone with a deep throaty change in sound around 4-5k RPM. I am contemplating about swapping out the MazSport with a BHR, but I am curious if the BHR create the same change in tone in midrange RPMs.

I’d suggest replacing the rear resonator with one of these and then bolt the braces back on. Mine is still going strong ...

Spiral Flow Racing Muffler

Otherwise if the sound matters so much why not just keep what you have?

I have no issue with anyone buying your products. People use my ideas all the time. More power to them and I have no care about whether they thank me for that any more than me sending them parts and even a perfectly good engine free of charge including shipping (except for the engine, lol). I probably wouldn’t have shared them or done it all otherwise, but then my actions aren’t based on me exploiting anyone here for personal gain.

I did have reservations on making the suggestion and half expected you to come after me again. My thinking is only that he already has a perfectly good midpipe, except due to the physical size of the resonators it uses had some fitment issues at the rear position for the second one as he mentioned. Now I was pretty sure you don’t sell your resonator separate anymore otherwise I could have suggested that. Since I have three and half race seasons of mostly WOT use on the stainless steel Moroso version including numerous private testing days and a few thousand miles street use it kind of seemed reasonable to suggest he consider keeping his otherwise perfectly good midpipe and swap the resonator.

Now it could eventually fall apart as you asserted so long ago, and again several years ago when I mentioned installing one, but I can’t really say that since it hasn’t happened and at this point I’m fairly sure that I put a lot more use on it than those that fell apart on you. Further, you’ve taken everything so personally to the point you refuse to sell me your products. That’s your right as both a business owner and an individual which I fully support. However, since I have no choice but to use an alternative, having done so successfully to date, am I now forbidden to suggest it to anyone else? Maybe they changed the design or improved quality control or maybe way back then it was a bad batch or maybe I got one that was somehow better than any other one they ever built.

I don’t know the answer. I only know the result for the one I bought. It’s worked well for me so far. I simply shared it here like you, me, or anyone else might do. To me that’s what the forum is for. If I was a vendor I might see it in a different light.

I don't think there is much of a change in the tone of the car from what I can hear. It's a little deeper, but it's not drastic compared to OEM cat.

I do have an HJS Tuning cat in mine, though, so YMMV.

^ The tone is pretty similar to OE, but there is a little extra depth and volume. There is also something that can be described as a "rushing" or "wooshing" sound, which is actually kinda cool. It goes away with a cat installed.

In this case, he directs people to take a look at Nathan Atkins' post in November 2015 to see that Nathan used the Moroso 92055 muffler with great success........ all the while failing to see that Nathan, himself, posted in this thread back in January 2016 that he had the problem about which I warn people.

THAT, my friends, is some stellar technical research from a fellow who takes his own orange cone-crushing and transmission-shredding just a little too serious...... LOL

Peace out, I have had enough of this bullshit.
I missed that and appreciate you pointing it out. Not sure why you couldn’t just do so and let it speak for itself without the usual but unnecessary TeamRX8 diatribe or why you never get tired of that BS? It’s not about either one of us.

Got my midpipe yesterday, just 2 days after emailing BHR about an ETA so I can plan for an upcoming track day. Thanks Charles.

best companys for our cars are black halo racing and racing beat! bottom line, they have put in the most r&d for our cars, and have years of rotary engine experience, other companies might make some one off or semi decent products, but usually fall short in the end.
