Thats because it is the only ignition that could achieve the 1.21 jigawatts to power the RX8.

They all taste the same.

That said, you just have to decide which upgrade will give you the most performance for your dollar.

Go ahead and try the AP. You just might like it more than the PS3. It's a toss up though.

For those of you with the BHR coils and MM AP service that need/want your dwell settings changed, please send an email with the 11 deadly questions and your map to:

apdwell at mazdamaniac.com

This is only if you have the BHR coils INSTALLED!

If you are currently still working on your calibration with Jeff, he will adjust your dwell settings if you note in the 11 Deadly Questions that you have the BHR coils installed.

If you have completed the calibration process, please use this email to get your dwell settings updated.

If yo have previously sent an email to the AP address requesting just a dwell setting change, please resubmit to the new address for ease of tracking.

bse50: You can PM me anytime.

I just Installed my Ignition Kit! Here is what I think.

Install time: 2 hours maximum if you have absolutely no idea what you're doing. I'm not saying I'm an idiot... I just have never changed the plugs, wires, or coils on my 8 before. Plus I was testing out my new jack and stands for the first time. Overall, it was easy.

Dont likes: The T2(I think) coil is way really damn super jammed in there next to that engine hoist hook loop and It makes me nervous. Also, I didn't realize that ground was a ground since it was wrapped around the coils so well. I guess I should have read the instructions all the way through before starting... stupid me...

Do Likes: It works! I'm dead serious when I say that this makes a noticeable improvement. My 8 used to feel a lot like it didn't want to be redlined. Now it begs for redline. I now have a nice smooth rev all the way up. I'm very Impressed. Thanks a lot BHR, you're amazing.

Well Shnifty, I'm glad you're happy with the coils.
I would suggest to people to remove the engine hoist hook from the engine before installation. I do believe it is mentioned in the instructions.

I never read those things anyway.

Yeah, it's mentioned that some people do that. I would highly recommend it. I was going to do it myself but saw some coolant, got scared and tightened it back up since I'm a big noob. Oh well, I got it done, one way or another.

The bolts hold the water pump in place so you'll get some coolant leaking out. You just have to be quick about it.
