I have owned an rx-7 before. I love rotary motors and thought I would buy a 2006 Mazda RX-8. I bought it used with 60,000 miles. I really like the car although I thought it would be faster. I have no idea if the spark plugs have been changed let alone upgrading the coils although I know it made a big difference in my RX-7. Know I know BHR coils are popular mostly because they have been around longer which uses a yukon truck coil modified of course. But I have seen these new ls-2 coils which use corvette coils instead. Know in my opinion I believe that a corvette coil is going to give better performance spark where a truck spark is more powerful, My question is has anyone used the LS-2 coils yet to determine which is better because I really do not want to pay $1000 for the japanese set if I can get away with it. So what is the verdict BHR or LS-2. Let the debate begin.
