better exhaust for turbo

I'm sure that's there's already a thread for this, but what is the best exhaust for a turbo'd 8? From what i can see most people with the same set up as me (I mean same PSI, turbo, and all that), just with differant cat-back are running a little more hp than me.Right now i have the greddy sp2 and i want something better flowing if possible (and more JDM'ish). I really like the JIC titanium exhaust but i don't know whether it actually preforms better than the greddy. I'm also upgrading really soon to a much bigger turbo so i want the best cat-back possible. Any suggestions?

i would reccomend a single outlet exhaust. The hks single outlet made more power than an average aftermarket dual exhaust:

i htink i read somewhere that the borla made actually made some hp. but very minimal. but if u are going for turbo, i think u should go wit the hks single outlet exhaust.

it's listed for $520 on their website.

http://www.hksusa.com/dealers/?dm=authorizeddealers

just choose your location and it will find the closest authorized dealer.

as far as modifying your bumper...it's an easy 45 minute job...nothing special

well the problem is that my rear bumer is the veilside d1 kit, so it might look a bit odd even modified. but i think i can live with it considering that it's designed for turbo'd cars.

you could try turboXS. supposed to be good stuff especially for tubo'ed cars.

the hks single would probably be best, but if you still want to have two tip.

The TurboXS exhaust is great for a turbo'd car. It is a very free flowing, full 3" exhaust.

there's nothing wrong with the single sided exhaust for NA cars. There's just not a whole lot of performance gains that will distinguish the standard legamax exhaust vs the single outlet. But the sound is kick ***!!

How a single no bending no splitting exhaust is similar to performance with one that has so many restrictions(like the design-fashionable ones we see on many 8's)?

I saw and I felt a noticeable difference in performance when I dumped the Trust PE Ti and installed my custom single one and all that before the HKS hype.

That's a fact, but works also in a N/A car. That's what I'm saying. Flow is the key, I believe.

For FI, without a doubt.

For NA, I don't think your gains are significant enough to matter much. And a big 3" exhaust would also lower your torque.

It's going to be stupid loud. But depends on exhaust. HKS wasn't very loud with a catless, while borla and catless (with resonator) was unbearable when NA.
