moron.
I'm going too have too agree with ny on this... I think from now on anytime anybody asks a dumb question without searching we should give them detrimental answers...

That way they'll break their 8's because they were in too much of a rush too go no where and then they'll buy another car making us 8 owners look like actual intelligent people...

Hello everybody, I am new here so take it easy on me... I bought my RX8 2004 automatic from the Mazda dealer in November 2006. This already came with the AEM cold air intake. I have been having a lot of problems with this car, since i bought it, they replaced the throttle body (said it would not close) i have very poor gas milage , between 230 - 260 KM / full tank since the start of this summer i get a lot of rattling / back fireing and "farting" kinda weird loud noises. Mazda is saying that all problems come from having this performance intake... How can that be ?? they say the straight pipe is creating vacuum and is sucking in the oil which screwes up the MAF sensor etc... they are advising me to buy the stock air intake ... (even thought i bought it from them like this ... ) . My worry and concern is this ... : how come other people have this intake as i see here and have no problems ? just worried that will spend lot's of money on this stock intake and it will still not get rid of a problem. When i hear those rattling noises car seems to have poorer performance , and also to mention when i drive it fresh in the morning it runs fine with lot's of power , when it get's hot all this starts happening .

Can any one comment please ? as well as if this is the wrong place to place this question i am sorry and please tell me where i can post this to get help.

Thank you all in advance .

Seems like your MAF sensor is off. Make sure your intake is on tight. Check to see that the MAF sensor is clean. If all that is fine and you are still having problems, then it's something completely different.

P.S. make sure all your recalls have been done

I don't even use it... I use google to search the forum instead:

Sometimes, I wonder if there is a communication/language gap or if you are just dim.
Maybe things just don't convey well or require too much imagination to elevate above the literal.
Or maybe you are just dim...

well, i also disagree. i do not feel OEM is best. most of the other intakes out there will not lose you power, and most of them are lighter weight, therefore making the car's overall performance better. whether it is worth the money though may be a different story depending on your application.

Odula intake duct + R-Magic air filter w/ stock box is nice.

https://www.rx8club.com/australia-new-zealand-forum-37/taka%92s-review-odula-ram-intake-duct-58857/

I just wish somebody would come out with a knock off of the Odula design with a bigger inlet, but I like the overall design and concept and that it connects to the stock box.

Because there is no meaning in the explanation. If you and Team don't understand the irony of the statement, then explaining it won't give you any insight.

i will take a stab at this one..

somehow you find yourself posting your first thread here... not plausible..

post a photo.. then get a sound clip of the farting sound.. and also while you are at it figure out how to get a location in your identity....

and then if you can do any of that find the faq area and read the post by brillo..

happy trails.

you asked for a comment.

beers

Of course, Swoope got it.
SCSI - you need to look up "sarcasm" and then "irony" and see if you can understand the difference.
Team needn't bother because I know he doesn't understand angular resoning. He thinks linearly.

OK. Then let me rephrase that:

You represent yourself as being enrapt in linear thought.
Why you would do this is beyond me since it only minimizes your impact on the narrative.

Why someone would pretend to not get something and then turn right around and say they, in fact, do understand without any demonstrable insight is completely illogical.

But I guess that is your idea of "mysterious". It still dim to everyone else.
