Best Exhaust??

Hey folks, I'm thinking about getting a RAcingBeat exhaust. Anyone have one of these and how do you like it? I like one that isn't too loud when cruising but get louder and starts to wail at full throttle. I have a Thermal Research and Development exhaust on my '99 civic Si and it's a little too loud for me. I'm also considering Greddy. Any suggestions?

thinking about buying the same one. Go search for the comparison thread its out there somewhere. Good pics, clips, etc.

It's all about personal preference and the RB is by far the best sounding IMHO. Greddy will be a bit noisier.

I have the Borla and it has the sound characteristics you describe - it's all but dead silent at low RPM and has a nice throaty roar at high RPM.

Without a doubt - Go Greddy It will match perfectly with what you're looking for. I didn't want too loud but nice and low; not an attention ***** exhaust, but one with authority :D

the only thing i see about the greddy that i dont really care for is the tips. I wish they were a little smaller...right now they're just a tad too big for my taste. But i'll still probably be getting it when i get my 8 in the spring

Twisty, is the borla a true twin pipe exhaust or is one just a dummy? It only has 1 can and I thought I read somewhere that it's actually a single outlet exhaust thats just made to look like a twin. How does it look quality wise? The RB looks really well made. I'm wondering if I should go with the RB instead. Then again the Borla has a million mile warranty..not sure what the RB warranty is.

HKS Legamax is the best exhaust you can get for the 8!

There, I said it, now I feel much better about my purchase.

Spend the most money for your exhaust... you will feel much better about having the most expensive exhausts out there. Get a Titanium... or if possible, Platinum Exhaust with diamond encrusted tips for the full bling bling effect. Since all the exhausts give pretty much the same performance.. (3-5 Hp), it's all about the looks.

Is there a place I can see the WEIGHTS of these exhausts? In the quest for reducing the cars weight, the exhuast is definitely one of the key points...

So.. anyplace to look? Or a shop with a whole bunch of them that I can call and get their shipping weights?

I think someone posted the weight of a couple exhausts around here once, but if you're concerned with weight (and can spend a little $$$) go for JIC's titanium model. That should drop enough .lbs for you.
