Exclamation AP or ExoticSpeed Exhaust

Hi Guys,

I am planning to buy either a complete exhaust system from ES (header, test pipe), the Titanium T2 to be precise or the AP Titanium Colored Catback Exhaust with test pipe.

What would you guys recommond for me. Weight reduction and performance are priority for me. Please inculde knowledge about fitment too.

Counting on your knowledge.

thx

Ok first of all if you want weight reduction and performance I would go Exoticspeed all the way all the pipes are polished SUS304 stainless steel pipe and all the flanges are designed for OEM fitment.
But the Header is about $900
and the Exoticspeed RII- Titanium Exhaust is USD $980 (can get RE Triangle Exhaust Tips)
and the Sport MIDPIPE or MIDPIPE (Cat-Delete) is 400 or 600

http://www.exoticspeed.ca/product_in...oducts_id=4597

Now I got my Turbo Xs Exhaust and Midpipe (Cat-Delete) for $499.
Its all about what you can afford

I went for the AP because "supposedly" exoticspeed more or less just copied the AP system, and the AP system was cheaper for my. I ordered through Race Roots.

I didn't mind that the system doesn't use OEM flanges, so no issues there.

In terms of weight reduction. . . I don't know about that.

And the AP sounds great, but the single walled titanium tips looks pretty ricey for me... its been on my car over a year now and its the only think I miss about the my old racingbeat REV8... those nice polished Stainless tips. But for me its about the sound.

I have sold both and seen both first hand. Exoticspeed has some short falls.

1. Paying inbound duties because they are a Canadian company. (~$75)
2. They never add packing to their boxes so 50% of my shipments got damaged and was a nightmare to get corrected.
3. A few customers complained about alignment of the exhaust tips being off
4. Very Expensive for the pieces you are getting.
5. If it is any indication that I no longer sell the majority of the line should tell you something as well.

(Exoticspeed may have corrected these issues but I cannot confirm as I no longer sell them)

Agency Power is just as good if not better especially for the price you cannot beat compared to others.

tx for the info guys. The ES exhaust system is much more expensive where I live. For the same price I do get the AP exhaust and mid-pipe plus crank pully, and still have some cash to spare.

I have talked to an ES user, he said that there were few problems with the fitment but the end result was good. Unfo both system do give a CEL, but nothing to do there I suppose. I would be happy if I would get 5-6 HP gain (with stock airbox), hope that happens.

Btw will the plastic at the bumper melt due to the heat of the mufflers?

The fitment of the AP exhaust systems has been good for the 2 cars I've helped install it on. Mine went on without any problems bolted to a mazsport midpipe.

A local had some differential clearance issues when bolted to the stock cat, but fixed them through some adjustments.

As for the melting shrouds... a 4 inch exhaust pipe with a single wall is large and its hot... I made sure mine touched my shrouds on the bottom so it would melt the part that no one ever sees.

It also depends on what cat you're running as cats tend to reduce exhaust temps a bit vs. a catless pipe.
