Anyone tried the Apexi ECV?

Thinking about getting straight pipe, but even w/ resonator, its going to be loud as heck.
Talked to a shop, and they told me they installed it before and it really works. And seems to quiet down the exhaust more than a resonator.
Anyone tried using this? and what size should we be using for our RX8?
