Does anyone know what size the stock exhaust flanges are?

Also, is anyone familiar with these A'pexi products:

I have the manual 80 mm Apexi ECV on my custom 3" competition exhaust. While it does quiet it considerably for the occasional neighborhood cruise, it does so at the cost of engine performance; blocks exhaust flow, won't rev well

my exhaust is quite loud full open though ...

I figured that a hit in performance would be the case when closed. But, there isn't any performance loss when its open is there?
