i have a 04 6 speed rx8 and i installed the AP underdrive pulley about 2 months ago and today while driving the steering wheel locked up completley at 60(ish) mph, lost control and ended up in a small ditch. i remember when i first put on this pulley and it made the steering very tight for the first day it was on, and then it didnt do it until today when it completley locked the steering wheel. couldnt even budge it and it still wont budge when i start the car up. the pulley threw a CEL when i first installed it. P0300 2nd rotor misfire and random misfire's. im thinking of pulling the pulley off tmrw but has anyone else had this problem with the agency power pulleys?

the steering is electric and has nothing to with the pulley

WRT the other post, he is stating it is completely locked up, not that the power assist went dead, could be a malfunctioning column lock instead of the steering, never heard of this happening though
