Hello im reading and people are saying the 04's dont shoot out the cel i am an owner of a 05 rx8 and am going to order the aem cai that i heard wont shoot a cel and want to order the agency mp but am scared a CEL would come does anyknow know if this mp would cause a cel?

 

Yes... the Agency Power (and any other) mid-pipe/straight pipe will generate a CEL.
You are removing an emission device... which is why you will see a CEL.
Only way to eliminate the CEL with a mid-pipe is to purchase a Cobb AccessPORT.

 

yes you will get a CEL, some of us have experience different tho, but only for a little bit, its bound to come back on...i threw my midpipe on, the CEL came on right away, it was on for 3 months then went off for 6 then came back on and has stayed on since then

 

It's been about two months since I installed the Racing Beat dual resonated midpipe and have NOT gotten a CEL. I have an early build RX-8 ( 5/2003 ) if yours is also an early build you also might be ok. Either way its not something to get scared over its just a light. It could also have something to do with where the O2 sensor is placed in the midpipe? On the RB it is further 'downstream' than on the OEM CAT, just a guess.

 

spark plug defouler MIGHT keep the cel off...worth a shot....if not get the ap...or the always instnt fix.........electrical tape

 

So you just wrap the midpipe with electrical tape and that prevents the CEL? I kid, I kid!
