AEM COLD AIR OR K&B INTAKE?!?!

Hi im planning to purchase a intake for my Rx-8 soon, so I was wondering which 1 do you perfer the AEM cold air or the K&N intake. The K&N says over 10 horses guarantee and I heard the AEM doesn't give much as horses but good sound.
If there is anything better then these two please let me know.

Thanks

You should search, we have about 4 intakes for our cars, I personally i have the AEM unit. & yeah it sounds reallly bad ***, The 1st gen K&N was actually pretty bad, it some cases ppl lost HP with it. The 2nd gen is suppose to be better.

Also you can look into the Racing Beat Intake system. or the HKS unit

But the main difference between the two you're talking about is that AEM is a CAI n k&n is an SRI.

That 10 hp guarantee is bogus. Some people tried to return their 1st generation K&N units, but K&N made them run through ridiculous hoops to get the refund. Bottomline, you will never get a refund from that company. The 2nd generation unit was dynoed in Import Tuner magazine and it got about 4-5 peak hp (about 3-4 across the rev range). I would look at the AEM & also the Racing beat REVi w/ Ram Air Duct.

I have the RB right now. It was suppose to be CAI w/ the ram air duct, but my front bumper doesn't fit with the duct. Kinda wish I went with the AEM cold air intake.

AEM is on my list of intakes I want to get for my car. Just not sure of how I'm going to clean the filter. I'm gonna have to take the front bumper off everytime I need to clean it.

I recommend the Revi if you don't want too loud.

It does a nice job smoothing the idle too.
