Accessport - "HP GAIN?"

I've been trying to find the answer to my question for a long time. Do any of you guys know for sure how much HP gain I would get from an Accessport? Is there a difference in gain between an MT and AT? Thanks.

it would vary by your current tune and how capable your tuner is.

The 'performance' tune that Cobb sends with the AP is kind of sad......

Isn't that why MM gives you 6months of free tunes? So you can get the most out of what you have? The preloaded tunes are one size fits all tunes are not for your specific vehicle and that is most likely why you are unhappy with it. If you have had the 6months of free tuning through MM and are still unsatisfied, please let us know and explain why.

Also, with the CobbAP, you could tweak the AFR's yourself, if you know what you are doing. How does the CobbAP with MM's final tune compare to these?

If anyone has a Non FI RX8 with CobbAP and a final tune from MM, could you share your AFR for comparison?

i'm sure the afrs will be comparably good and likely better looking. I'm interested in the timing maps and the VE tables. But we'll never see them.

I have seen 10 hp on 100% stock motor.

15 to 20 on modified. These are Dynos.

Main thing is other benefits.

Runs leaner at idle so you don't foul plugs and flood engine. fans come on sooner.

More oil is injected to seals etc...........

depends on how good your tuner is, how well your car runs now, and yes there is a difference between MT and AT. (MT's can make power at higher RPM's)

All of the above. Worth the money when you consider an exhaust will get you 2-3 HP for the same amount of money.

Can lean out the tune with the AP(better if you are catless) to make more power since these things run pig rich to help keep out kitty CAT happy!

but I still need to breathe. I can't stand Cat-less cars like my rx7, it came with full RB race setup. Awww cant stand the smell. gotta spend another 900 bux to buy a new Mangaflow cat and RB Exhaust(cost almost as much as the car lol)

Thinking should I get AP or Exhaust for my 8 ...

i was also trying to decide between the cobb from MM or an exhaust. i decided on getting the exhaust firstand other mods, that way when i do get the cobb from MM itll be more specific to my most current setup.

Question. Are functions such as early/constant fan operation, AFR adjustment, more oil on startup, etc doable by regular customers? Or must a professional handle those?

I know I can find it by reading through a hundred pages of threads, I just need a brain jogger. I think it's no...
