Abflug catback

hi has ANYONE in the US gotten the abflug catback exhaust system? im pretty sure it will work only with the abflug rear bumper, and the abflug rear bumper will only work with the abflug catback because its considerably wider than the stock exhaust tip configuration. i really like the abflug rear bumper(just about EVERYTHING else is hideous for abflugs rx8 though) but i dont want to be stuck with the one option of a crappy catback. thanks in advance :D

You could always get a custom exhaust if you're not happy w/ the abflug. I would imagine you would get better gains with it, especially if you plan to turbo, since there aren't a lot (if any?) 3" exhausts.

I personally have no experience with it though. Sorry.

thanks for the input, that was my second consideration as i would end up paying only a little more if i ended up going completely custom for the catback. that would ensure it would work with a turbo(which is a good point you brought up because its something im intrested in doing in the future) i would get the proper sound, and probably get at least 3 or 4 HP because the catback will be just for my 8(haven't dyno'ed it but because its pretty new...1300 miles, i would imagine its one of the 175 hp rx8's thats running a bit rich.

I have heard only two aftermarket cat-backs to my knowledge.... AutoExe (sounded great!) and HKS (it's ok). SO I can't comment on this one. Considering the cost... you may just want to get a custom setup done instead...

ouch... that's steep. Why not pick up two MagnaFlow cans (mufflers) ala RX-8 Store, some tips and have a some shop put it together for you?

that exhaust is very similar to the autobahn exhaust and costs about the same.

Actually I think Ajax was comparing the Abflug and Autobahn exhausts.... both have the dual tips... but Autobahn has fancy pipework that is shown off by their bodykit.
