Your a moron if you think you could drop a 20b in a car for 6k. A good FD would cost 15K, plus 3 for the block, 5 to rebuild and port it, 6 for the single turbo and associated fuel mods, 5 for the microtech and custom wiring associated with it, 2.5 for the subframe ***, plus who knows what else. Thats not even including labor and your already at 35.5 including the car.

And you would take a single turbo 13b over a single turbo 20b? Have you never seen a dyno from a tuned 20b? If not, check this out, this is at 6 psig. A full bridge ported single 13b couldn't pull this dyno off. Check out the torque, this thing is going to be a monster once its broken in and fully tuned.

This is why people pay 30k for a 20b swap.

Listen to this, sounds like a Ferrari flat 12.

Doesn't Alamo Rotary charge $20,000+ for an FD, 20B swap? Also, whatever happened to ACOSTARACING? I still to this day think it's a step backwards in the development in the RX-8, but then again, I see other gearheads dumping LS1s and whatnot into 240Zs, RX-7s, what have you. You gotta give the man credit.

I remember someone from another rotary forum post a video of an N/A 3-rotor engine. It spat out about 220+ rhwp, but the damn thing was ear-shrieking loud. You thought P-port 2-rotors were loud, heh.

It is not possible, period. A Formula 1 car needs around 2,5 sec.

That's not true at all ... dropping a 20B into a FD is a piece of cake. So many people have done it that nothing needs to be fabricated.

I bet I could do it for 6K ... your numbers are WAY off. 5K to rebuild it? 6K for a single turbo? 5K for a crappy Microtech?

I can get a long block with stock twins and stock ECU for $2500. When you can make 450 reliable horsepower with stock twins and ECU, many people would be fine with that. I can get a subframe for $500, and a Wolf 3D if I wanted standalone for $1000.

Your numbers are just wrong.

that sounds NOTHING like our testarossa. either youve never actually heard a flat 12, or your hearing is majorly screwed. there is not a more beautiful sound than that testarossa at full throttle. i love my 8 and the rotary sound at redline, but its closer to a neon than it is to the ferrari.
