65K miles and stock clutch ... advice

My 04 8 has gone very strong for 65K+ miles with just recall work. NO OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR!!!

One question I do have though is that I'm about to get a flywheel (ACT Prolite or Findaza; haven't decided yet) and was wondering about my clutch. It's got 65K worth of miles, mostly highway, and a few auto-x events. I am about to take her to Summit Point and see what tracking the 8 is like (what tracking is like period for it'll be my first time besides Gran Tourismo 4).

Should I go ahead and change it now? I know it's kind of a silly question but my tranny is going to be dropped again anyway when my engine gets rebuilt in 35K more miles. There WILL be an upgraded clutch involved in the rebuild.

Change it now or just wait till latter?

So you've already decided that you're going to re-build the motor at 100k? Is this because you've decided to upgrade or because you just suspect the motor will be in need of rebuild by then?

Yeah, at about 100K ... 120K miles I'm going to do a rebuild. Just something I plan on doing for myself. I really like this car and I think this engine can last for a good 175.

my brother has had 180k on his 2nd gen 13b, im pretty shure this one whould last around the same thing as long as you do oil changes/adds on time. The only thing that was going bad on it were apex seals other than that it was fine, suck that he sold it tho.
