65hp nitrous jet

Ok so ive been running my 55 zex wet kit for awhile now. Today I was trying to figure out why my nitrous wasnt spraying. While finding the problem and fixing it i managed to lose my .32 jet 55hp. so ive ordered a new one and replaced the jets w/ the 65 hp shot. Now my question is my motor should hold up to that for a little bit shouldnt it? Ive read dozens of post and searched and get mixed feelings. Ive done a few passes with it and it runs real smooth no ticking noises no hesitation just raw power! but i do intend to put the .32 back in when it comes in the mail. My motor has about 6k miles on it and i have been spraying since 1500. w/ the supporting mods in my sig. let me know what you guys think

thanks for any input

well i think ive answered my question today myself. today while driving my car and spraying my nitrous my check engine light started flashing. no back fires, no chug in car or anything, but just to be on the safe side im going to wait for my 55 hp shot to come in the mail

I use the 65 N2O shot and the 55 fuel shot together. I also have spent hours with Mazdamaniac on the dyno, and considerable drive time tuning the system.
I would stick with the 55 N2O shot until you can get the Cobb Accessport and do some tuning with it to be safe.
I will try the 75 N2O shot in the future with more tuning and a new ignition retard system to come from Black Halo Racing in the future.

charles has stated that a 65hp shot is totally doable. i do believe he means that as doable tuned with AP. he said a 75hp shot is totally doable as well.

he has even stated that he thinks a 150hp shot is doable and thats his end goal.

more power (n2o here) to him!

Ok. I got my 55 hp shot today and installed it. Still I get a blinking check engine light when i use it. So could bad spark plugs cause a missfire code? My idle is xtra rough kinda feels like its missing like a pistion motor w/ a bad plug. I have the mazsport ignition so it shouldnt be a coil. but if it is how do i check to find which coil is bad? I orderd new plugs so imma try that first. any help would be great

Charles, I just got my 1st rotary/rx8 a month ago. What kind of 0-60 and 1/4mi/trap speed can I expect with a 55shot and a random or RP cat w/stock catback?

Inexperience with launching a rotary + wheelhop + bad traction = 14.3 is actually a good time

"^ i thought it was conservative"

...uhhhh what?? If by conservative you mean conserving you're nitrous by not using it then I can understand! lol You guys are crazy!! The stock 8 I've SEEN do 14.5 @ 96... I can't wait until Moroso opens back up so I can film my low 13 run hehe
