The #1 thing everyone on this forum will suggest you do first is to SEARCH. Then maybe give us a budget? Then maybe check out some of the mods in my sig :D

Performance wise...intake, exhaust, and probably lighter aftermarket wheels are some of it. Anyway, what is your budget?

First mods I would suggest on a stock RX8 are the AFE short shifter and the Cobb AccessPORT. The AP adds a ton of functionality to the car as well as some HP gains and MPG gains. The AFE shifter just makes the car feel so much better, probably how it should have been stock.

Your first mods should be a Greddy Turbo kit & Pettit super charger (dual charging FTW), and nitrous. Go big or go home.

first off do not listen to moniche. intakes and exhausts will not give you any noticible performance gains like on a piston car. a catless midpipe will give you the most performance for the money. search, this forum is full of great info lost in useless threads like this one and wrong info like the post i just quoted

Wheres the "like" button for your sig?

But, like dale said, give us a budget first. A lot of people will say the AFE short shifter is their favorite mod. I havent gotten mine yet.. And also the BHR ignition upgrade is also a crowd favorite. Do a search. There are lots of threads started each day answering this same question.

And also, before you start modding make sure all your maintenance is up to date.
