The front actually has more room then the back so just go with the same all around. It's up to you what size you want. Look at the link I put up earlier of the guy using 25mm on a complete stock setup and decide whether you want that look or not.

Thanks, but the wheels ended up being sold :/. I appreciate the offer man. What's up with you and the 8? I saw you were trying to sell it for awhile.

Galatians 2:20 08-09-2013 11:55 PM

I am throwing on the spacers tomorrow and will get some before and after pictures. kinda hesitant to put on the 25mm but we will see. I looked at that topic with the 25mm on oem setup and it looks fine but the pictures arent that great. Any suggestions or tips before I install them? do i need to tighten them to a certain point? or just hand tighten as tight as i can?

RedFrame 08-10-2013 12:03 PM

All wheel lugs including wheel spacer lugs ought to be equally torqued. I believe 90 FT-Lbs is right. You can get a half inch drive torque wrench from harbor freight tools for 9.99 when they're on sale. Evenly torquing your lugs will make the wheel hub set evenly reducing wear on your tires, brakes and rotors as well as other secondary suspension components and decrease wheel wobble.

Galatians 2:20 08-10-2013 07:13 PM

Hey guys just an update...I put the spacers on and they look great but the front stick out past the fender which I'm not a fan of. The back sit flush but I'm rubbing for some reason. The guy the started the forum said he had no rubbing so I don't understand. I'm going to contact the eBay seller and see if I can return them. If not, Ill have some spacers for sale haha. They have about half a mile on them lol. All in all it looks great and sits mean. I just don't to know if I wanna go this aggressive

RedFrame 08-10-2013 08:18 PM

I may want to buy them from you if possible.

Galatians 2:20 08-10-2013 09:30 PM

Well let me know if you're interested. The seller has 14 day return policy and I've had them for 12 days so it's getting close. I'm waiting to hear a response from him. I bought them for $150. Ill sell them for a little lower and take a loss so I won't have to worry about paying shipping to return them. Let me know as soon as you can. I just took them outta the box and put them on today so I can take them off tomorrow if you want them

Johnvx1k 08-10-2013 10:24 PM

Wow I am really sorry I recommended those. I didn't think you would have a problem. It might only be a small issue. I'll be moving in next weekend and I will officially be in Wilmington for a good year and a half or more. If you haven't sold them I can take a look and help you out. If you do sell them, RedFrame I can also help you out too if you still want to go the coilover route.

Oh I forgot to mention I got a cool video of me popping some flames last night with my GoPro. Here is a snapshot.

Galatians 2:20 08-10-2013 11:41 PM

No worries John youve been a great help. Maybe Red flame will buy them from me. For some reason my front wheels sat closer to the fender than the back wheels do. the back wheels were definitely more tucked in before i put the spacers on so i knew that putting the spacers on wouldnt change it. idk why my wheels were like that at stock. oh well...

Hmm the back looks perfect, but yes the front does have a little poke. Car looks great though from the pictures. I love me some Winning Blue. Nice neighborhood too by the way haha.

KB1978 08-11-2013 11:21 AM

Hey guys...so I was wanting some advice on the spacers and lowering. I've been keeping up with the thread and I'm understanding the spacers bring the wheels outward...I like the look (are there any drawbacks?) and that brings me to the next question: if I add spacers and lower it, 1) what "drop" would u recommend...I have considered at most an inch and three quarters 2)coilovers or springs? Height adjustability is fine with me but I use mine as a daily driver (no track yet...I would prefer to stiffen the suspension first)..so I am not looking to slam my car because of the obvious: potholes, speed bumps, etc

Any advice is appreci8d...thanks

KB1978 08-11-2013 11:36 AM

So Griffin, I think u may have had an idea..John/Redframe: if u stagger the front with 20mm and the back 25mm due to the room u were referring to, would that solve the issue? Is it possible for that to do any sort of damage?

Galatians 2:20 08-11-2013 12:03 PM

Johns right, the 25mm in the back is perfect. The 25mm in the front aren't right for my car but they looked great on the forum some guy posted up with 25mm all around. I think I might do 15mm in the front and 20mm in the back. By the way KB and Redflame, the spacers are off the car and they are for sell. They aren't sold anymore on ebay so the cheapest you could get them would be at a little over $220 for a set of 4. Let me know if interested!

The only draw back to spacers is that you have to deal with a second full set of lugs since there are two sets (10) to each wheel. Besides that, there really isn't any drawback. I had 25mm spacers all around with Tein S Tech springs and Tokico HP Blue shocks. They give a 1.5 inch drop up front and about a 1 inch drop in the back (since the front sits higher on these cars you need a lower drop in the front to compensate). It was a nice setup, but I felt myself wanting more. For about 200 - 300 dollars more you can get megan racing coilovers and have full control over heigh, dampening, and preload. Both are great options, but I would always recommend coilovers as you can get exactly what you want. Got something against slammed cars huh?!?! :/

That would be a decent setup stock. You may run into some issues if your stock suspension is on it's way out. If you lower it an inch or more is should look pretty good. Just remember, the more you lower it, the more the wheels sink in. The reason I can run such wide wheels with a moderately low offset is because my car is very low. Raise my car up and the wheels would be poking out A LOT. You wouldn't do any damage to the car by adding spacers. Rubbing sounds bad, but it's really not the bad. That all depends on whats rubbing too. I rub from time to time when i hit big dip and there has been no damage what so ever (besides my smashed up under tray haha). It's just the tire making contact with the fender lip which can be easily resolved. If ANYONE in the Wilmington area (or eastern NC for the matter) ever has trouble with fitment, I will be happy to help. Hell we can even meet up and I will take a look at it.

That should look good, but you might run into some issues with the 15mm. The spacer isn't thick enough so the lugs will stick out and may not allow you to tighten down the wheel all the way (not sure if that makes since). The stock wheels do have little "pockets" in the back that usually help with that, but I don't know if a 15mm will be ok. Might have to search it up.

Johnvx1k 08-11-2013 01:56 PM

Here is a pic of the Tein S Techs and 25mm spacers all around. Unfortunately, I do not have any side pictures to really show the fitment. I only had this fitment on the car for a short time.

Also, if you all are interested in lowering your cars and don't want to deal with the fender issue I might have a solution. I rented a fender roller from ebay and it's pretty cheap. It's a 200 deposit (this is refunded to you in full if you return it on time and in the same condition it was shipped to you) and then a $50 rental. I split it with a buddy of mine when I rolled my fenders and it only cost $25 for me. If you three (Galatians, RedFrame, and KB) want to roll your fenders you could all split the cost and I can help with rolling the fenders. Just a thought. It would definitely prevent any issues with running spacers.

Galatians 2:20 08-11-2013 05:13 PM

I would definitely be interested in rolling those fenders. Shoot even if no one else wants to do it, I would like to so that I could keep 25mm in the back. I might just return one set of 25mm and order 1 pair of 20mm. The seller from ebay said I could return them. KB or Red lemme know if y'all wanna roll them and split the cost! If not, then I'm down either way John

Sounds good man. It would only be like 16ish if you split it three ways which is awesome. I won't charge yall for the fender rolling too haha. Just need to hear from RedFrame and KB about what they think and we can figure it out.

No offense intended of slammed cars.I actually love the way they look..another friend of mine has his slammed but when he turns the wheels, his side markers pop out of place... what kind of sense does that make? I am assuming yours doesnt...so how low did you go (three inches)?
