Just curious to know if that is even possible...

I would like to drive up to MAZDASUMMERPALOOSA in one...

They drive nice and the seats are comfortable... I have RX-8 seats in my RX-7 Convertible... wouldnt change them for anything.. man, these seats are super comfortable.


If anyone knows... I would appreciate the info.

Chances are you will not find one. It would have to be an Auto because most people can’t drive a stick and the car rental company would lose customers only having a 6-speed on the lot. It would be more cost effective for them to offer an A/T Mustang GT. I can also see problems with employees have to explain the anti-flooding info to people. Your best bet to find one would be to contact the fleet manager of the local Mazda dealerships and ask them if they sold any RX-8’s to car rental companies.

Preacher....back in the days you were able to walk in to a dealership and rent a demo for the weekend. The way it worked was..you tell them you are interested in buying one and you want to demo it for the weekend. I would call first, then take your insurance and paper work. I never had to put a down payment. I would just leave whatever car I had at the time as "trade in" in their lot. I never bought a car I took. lol

Did anyone ever find a car rental business that has an RX-8 in their fleet?

I'm specifically looking for a rental in or around San Diego, California. Any leads are appreciated.

I know I could always make do with a Mustang from Hertz; but I'd be a lot happier with an RX-8 (even if it's an AT), and having mine (2004 MT Touring) trucked out and back is definitely not in the budget.
