It was a pleasure setting all this up and a pleasure meeting you guys, many for the first time. This was one of those weekends that I will remember for the rest of my life. Finally was able to meet many people who post on this forum. I was not dissappointed in anyone...they all are GREAT FOLKS and a pleasure to be around!

Thanks to DaveT for all his hard work and support. This would have been nothing without your contributions and selfless committment to making this one of the best events ever!! Thanks to Shauna for being so helpful and a really nice person to be around.

Thanks to LeeP for the briefing and planning with our challenge of the Dragon. His training paid off....we ALL SLAYED THE DRAGON!!

Thanks to Millie for all her help and willingness to pitch in!

Thanks to om nc (Paul) for helping me go pick up the bar-b-que. I'll always remember your willingness to help in any way and enthusiasm about the event.

Thanks to BlueGrimRX8 for his assistance with the PayPal and funding. I owe you dude....

Thanks to Christina for her help in setup, cleanup and for being so cute. Sorry James....had to say it.....<snicker> :D

Thanks to Gary for his help with the event and for running interference with that stupid ******* who tried to kill me on the way home.

Thanks to Ed for bringing the hot sauce from Louisianna and for helping with cleanup....always a job nobody wants.

Thanks to Meowloud for all her warmth and affection... :D :D :D

The winners of the 2nd level doorprizes are as follows.

RX8 Store cat-back Exhaust System - LeeP
BORLA Gift Certificate 50% off stainless steel exhaust system - Won by DaveT, who donated it to Air Force RX8 for serving our country in it's time of need and missing events like this.
2 Rotary Clocks - Meowloud, BlueGrimRX8
Hymee Oil Cooler and Radiator Grill - RX8Daniel
CanZoomer Canscan system - Meowloud
Rhino Ramps - guy321
RACING BEAT RX-8 SWAYBAR SET + HATS, STCKERS AND OTHER ITEMS - SimplyBlue

Air Force RX8.....thanks for serving our country and sacrificing your time away from home, so that we as Americans have the freedom to do things likes this. Please email me your fullname (I forgot your last name...sowwy) and your address so that I can mail your the RX8 t-shirt you won and the BORLA 50% OFF certificate that DaveT insisted that you recieve.

Keep watching the MazdaNow.com website for pictures AND for details for NEXT YEAR's EVENT as it evolves!!!

Have to be the first:

Had an awesome time. Have 200+ pics and a few videos. Sure my videos aren't as good as others, but they were still fun to take. My new moto is "why go straight when you can go 318 turns in 11 miles?"

Shucks, I wouldn't call the cops...if I hadn't been so tired from getting to work at 0500 a.m. Friday to finish some work in order to head out by 0630, it would have been someone calling the cops on ME. You guys just saw Dr. Jekyll. MR. HYDE WAS A NO-SHOW. :D :D

Wow what a blast! The Dragon is always fun but it was so much more fun with all of you up there to run with! It really was a great group of people. I can't wait to do it again next year or for that matter in 6 months if you want . I think my motorcycle buds are coming up the first week of October to run. Thanks to Randy and Dave for all their work and to everyone else that pitched in to make this a great time. I will try to get a copy of the video I took to Brian so he can make one big video for everyone.

I also wanted to add that I hope no one took my complete shock at winning the exhaust as being ungrateful. I truly did not know what to say as I never, and I do mean never, win anything. I have had such a run of bad luck this last month (which all picked right back up this morning) I had pretty much given up on anything good happening and was just so glad to be up there experiencing the fun with everyone. I guess I now know how exciting it is to win an Academy Award... um well ok.. to win the top door prize.

Anyway, it was more fun than we should have been legally allowed to have. Airforce 8 thanks to you and all others who make it possible for us to cast aside our troubles for a weekend and act like little kids on a reaaaallllllyyyyy curvy go-kart track for just a little while. I look forward to seeing the inaugural tamers and future tamers of The Dragon next year if not sooner!

I just wanted to add my two bits here and say thank you to all who showed up and made this a totally kick a$$ good time. Special props go to Randy and Dave for all the organization and coordination needed for this type of event. Plus more thanks to all those who help with that.
Plus it was great to add faces and personalities (not just online personas) to everyone.

**edit**
P.S> plus I got to send out kudos to the Tennessee and North Carolina DOTs who planned and constructed the path of the Dragon.

Whoa! Dave, I cannot thank you enough! Randy, Jen, Morgan, and all of my other well wishers and friends I am happy to report that I have finally returned to the great USA! I really can't put into words how sad I was that I had to miss the big meet, but all of your thoughts and warm wishes really did ease the pain. I am happily reunited with my wife and kids and as soon as this next hurricane passes I can wash 4 months of neglect off of my car! I hope the certificate that Dave was generous enough to donate to me will not expire before tax return time!

Again, I can't tell you how much I really appreciate all of you! Especially Dave...I am forever indebted to you! I can't wait to see more pics on the Mazdanow site so that I can show the wife and convince her to get a sitter for the kids so that we can both attend next year barring any other deployments!

You all are great and I am so glad you all had a great time! Keep those pics coming!
