MRCCFL is planning to get together this coming Saturday 10/9 for a trek to Sunshine Speedway in Pinellas Park. Meet up place is Checkers on the northwest corner of Ulmerton Road and 49th Street North. Meet up time is 6:30, as racing begins at 7:00. Racing ends around 10:30 or 11:00, so we can grab some food after, or whatever. Everyone is welcome yo don't need to be a MRCCFL member.

This is the last season for the 44 year old 1/4 mile oval, which will close forever in November. The Saturday meet is a great way together and see some grassroots racing.

Post up if you're coming so we know who to look for!

Good to see you guys for a little bit at Checkers. You missed the Chain Race at Sunshine. Three cars chained together working as a team. One has no brakes, the other has no steering, and one has no engine. Everybody is missing something. It was great. The tail car would always be the one to start swinging and could never recover because the other two are still pulling him (or just don't care).

It was entertaining to say the least.

 

Awww... I was up in Tampa all this weekend!!! I can't believe I missed it... although I didn't bring my RX up with me. But I may be back up there in about a week or two...

A friend and I were picking up a 300whp SR20 Silvia we had built at XAT Racing off Dale Mabry on South. What a fun-*** car to fly through the St. Pete Skyway in... :D
