Hey guys,

I have a favor to ask.

I am currently shopping around for an aftermarket exhaust system because i want to modify the stock sound of my 8.

The problem is that internet video/sound clips simply dont do these exhaust systems any justice because there is no consistency. Not to mention, the sound is being recreated through a pair of sub par speakers with no bass whatsoever.

I have heard many people on these forums say that the only way to find out which exhaust you like is to actually hear it in person. Obviously, the only way for me to hear them in person is to ask the following favor.

Would anyone in the SF area, specifically Boca Raton be willing to meet up with me to show off their aftermarket exhaust? I am willing to ravel up to 50 miles north or sound just to hear your exhaust.

I am specifically looking to hear the hymee, the RB, MS dual catback and the greddy.

If you guys think your exhaust sounds cooler than any of these other ones please feel free to let me know. My options are completely open since ive never heard any of these exhausts in person and i honestly dont know what ill like.

I live next to the Sawgrass Mall but I work in Boca...Specifically Yamato and Congress

I have the Greddy exhaust and honestly from what I hear most of the exhausts sound VERY similar. Some are a little louder than others. I think the MS is a little louder than mine.

During normal operation it sounds mellow but deep. Once you start getting on it though it can be loud but I really like it myself. Also, there is no cabin resonence at all so you wont have a headache runnging around with my exhaust.

Anyways, maybe one night next week you can meet me in the parking lot of my job and I will show you.

I live around the sawgrass area. I put a single HKS Hi power on and i love it, Its problably louder then most but, i love the way it sounds. Any time you wanna hear it lemme know. I can meet at kmart on friday nights (theres a mazda club that usally meets there or up at towers. Lemme know

hey CAVEMANCAN i live in pembroke pines but i work in 136th st near sawgrass, i've been wanting to get that greddy exhaust for the longest now, can we meet up somewhere? so i can hear it too? ....maybe towers friday night? or i dont know if u can during the week?.....thanks man

If you want to hear a large selection of exhausts, get with the Florida RX8 club meets....

Check with RX8Honey at the Florida RX8 forum, and look for the next southern Florida meet. Lots of combinations there, with cat replacements and with stock cats.

They usually dont meet that often in our area. Most of there meets are in Central Florida (Tampa and Orlando). They do sometimes make it down here but I believe it was only once this year. I met with them in Tampa once...very cool group!

Paintball?? SWEET! I dont know if I told you but I was a part of a woods ball team for a while (ambush sniper). I have my gun and equipment in Orlando and we have a 24hr senerio game in Febuary.

Anyways, those are Racing Brake...I will call you this weekend again so we can talk.

Caveman, what time do you think you will be out there? Im going to be out in ft pierce all day long taking care of some business but ill be coming back to plantation to pick up my rx8.
