Miami for 2 months

I'm in Sunrise, see a couple 8's here and there but no one ever waves. I think you ARE in shock when you see another 8, you don't know what to do......

Sorry N8theGr8 for the late reply coz I lost the thread :o . Anyway, I live in western Lake Worth (Lantana and Hagen Ranch). I used to work in east RPB (Okeechobee and Andros Isles) but has since moved to Wellington (Forest Hill and Wellington Trace). I've seen a silver 8 driven by a lady right here where i work and another Shinka coming south on 441/SR7 along lake worth road. Paradigm has seen my car in passing but we haven't met personally yet. Hopefully I can get to meet other enthusiasts around the area soon. I used to be with the RX-7 group when i used to live in Tampa and we had a blast then.

 

I'll be on the lookout! Mine is jsut a black 8 with tinted windows. Depending on what day you catch me it'll either be spotless and ultra glossy or itll have a haze of white dirt on the bottom half I drive through that intersection (forest hill and wellington trace) almost daily. Both of them :D

 

It rained like ******' hell today. Ironically I drove with more RX-8s today than all the days I've seen them this month (combined).

First it started off with a white turning into the intersection before I got on the highway this morning...followed by a black one right before I reached my job.

In the afternoon a red one followed me up the on ramp home and drove directly behind me for a while but never passed me. We both drove past a sunlight silver two minutes later. Then there was a traffic jam frustrated the hell out of me so I responded by driving like an *******, squeezing in and out of lanes... until I saw a nordic green on the other side of the highway that was looking rather black (but I could just barely make out the green aura).

I went out one last time this evening and saw another sunlight silver.

Most of them had dark tints so it was pointless to even wave.

That's six RX-8s in one day rainy *** day.

 

Just got my 8, I live In Boca Raton.

 

I'll see you around then. BTW my next door neighbor has a base VR 8 that he neither keep clean or accesorize so I don't think he's an enthusiast at all. He also hasn't talk car with me either. While I'm alway in the garage tinkering with my 8 his car just sits outside the driveway looking lonely. :p

 

You should try and get him motivated. Imagine how sad and jealous that 8 must be seeing yours everyday

 

Today was another day where I saw a shitload of RX-8s on the road. In fact I saw there were so many today that after I saw the 4th one I wasn't even surprised/interested anymore. I probably don't even remember them all but if my memory services me right...

1 Black on the way to work with sunroof
1 Red on the way home stock
2 greens almost at the same time...one turned into a plaza and the other going to the opposite direction (one of these may have been a black but I'm pretty sure I saw green reflection on both)
2 Titaniums...one in a parking lot...stock, the other driving by bank fully loaded
1 Sunlight Silver on the highway...with part of its rear bumper caved in..gotta love that curse
1 Blue when getting off the highway that had 16s on it with some little chicky behind the wheel (stock automatic)
I should have motioned to her but I was too distracted by the ugly stock 16 inch rims

Yup..I saw almost every available color on the road today except White and Yellow (and Shinka of course).

Either I drove through the right parts of town at the right moment...or this car is finally getting popular down here.

 

what color do you drive? and what do you mean with fully loaded on titanium?

 

I'm not sure if the car was actually fully loaded but it had moonroof, accents, and all the lower skirts. I guess I meant grand touring. I have a yellow. I haven't seen any yellows in a long time down here in Coral Gables but I've seen a few up by Broward a couple times when I've gone to Hard Rock to lose my ***.

West Lake Worth, Hypo and Hagan Ranch. Titanium Grey w/ strakes and billet fuel door cover and clear corners so I am a little unique around here. NOBODY waves. I see at least 4 RX8s on my commute to FTL everyday and they all ignore my waves. I'll keep trying. Who's the guy in WPB w/ the sunlight silver 8 w/ decals all over it? He waves.....

 

I've seen a Nordic Green with aftermarket wheels and some sort of decal package around the Coral Way (Westchester) area a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. Anyone on here?

 

That guy probably picked it up rcently from Shumacher Infinity/HUmmer/VW....took them a while to sell it. What time do you commute to FTL? I commute from Loxahatchee to Boca 5 days a week and I take the turnpike around 6am. Mine is Black, no exterior mods except mudguards, and I always wave and so far only only two have waved back.

 

One of these days we should set up a little palm beach county meet somewhere. It would be nice to meet some of you guys sometime.

 

Dude, I think I saw your car about 2-3 weeks ago on Hagen Ranch going towards Lantana. I waved but the sun was on me so I doubt you saw it. Was it also you I saw parked in Smith Farms recreation center about 1 week ago?

 

We could meet up somewhere mid-PB county (probably Boynton Beach area).

I'm free this weekend, we could possibly do a breakfast meet either Sat (7/23) or Sun (7/24) then have the rest of the day off.
