There are a few going to Carowinds Sept 4th.

Others are trying to work-out a place to set-up cones and play for the afternoon somewhere. Same day, so far.

The problem right now is, we don't seem to have come up with any good idea of where we can do this without getting in trouble with the law.

Can anybody come-through with a plan here? Needs help...

Anybody interested in either idea can go to the RX-7 club site for info. You could, like me, log-on and get into the conversation there too.

That is right near my hometown, in fact i used to work there haha. but unfortunately that is the same day as the first Clemson football game. Football is a religion to me. sorry i won't be able to make that one.

 

If you're refering to Hewitt Robins, guess what? I worked there too! '79-'82 engrg.

Undersrood about the game conflict. Didn't think about that...

 

I don't know what Hewitt Robins is. i worked at Carowinds. I would love to be there and meet some people, but like i said before, Clemson Football comes first :D

 

Oh, ok. H-R is where it was talked about the slalom play might happen - NE Columbia area. I thought you might have been reading things over on the other forum....

Well, the coneplay mini autox idea has been pretty much killed. Anybody care to make a suggestion for those of us who do not wish to (or can't) partake in the Carowinds thing?

Date/time is also now open for discussion.

Ok, it's looking like a sure thing now (finally).

Saturday 9-4 @7pm.

Pretty much the same as last month. We're gonna meet first for a bite to eat, then it's on to Frankie's Fun Park of Columbia, just off of I-26 exit 103, Harbison Blvd. Still working on where to eat at this moment... stay tuned...

 

Will be meeting @ Longhorns on Harbison Blvd. @ 7pm Saturday 9/4. Then on to Frankies Fun Park. Barring any hurricanes that may want to come this way...
