Hi does anyone know where a Mazda tuning shop is in Atlanta, GA and if there are any RX-8 car clubs in Atlanta?

 

Let me be the first ... try MazCare for Mazda work ... and the Georgia RX-8 Club for fun RX-8 gatherings (mostly track stuff). Many of the Georgia folks who post in the SE section of the forum are also GA RX-8 club members.

Hey man I realize this post is old as hell, but I live in Evans as well. I'm just wondering if there is still or if there ever was a club or hangout spot for mazda owners in the AUG?? It would be cool to get together with fellow enthusiast, Augusta is lame when it comes to the car scene ive noticed. All either mustangs or civics with fart can exhaust here..

 

I own a Miata and an RX-8. The Masters Miata Club is active in Augusta and I do RX-8 related stuff with the Georgia Rx-8 Club. Most of the Georgia Rx-8 Club guys are in and around Atlanta; but some are in Macon, Albany, Chattanooga, and other outlying areas as well. So there is no hangout per se in Augusta. You have to do some traveling.

 

Kurt also drives a spec racer ford in the SCCA. He was the first in our group to track his 8, seven years ago, right Kurt?

Actually, Don, I have owned my RX-8 for over 8 years now. I tracked it a couple months after I got it at VIR, with the Mazda Club of Washington. Time flies when you're having fun!!!

The shop you are looking for is MazCare, Charlie Shatzen and the gang will take care of you. He's in Marietta so you don't have far to go for service. If Charlie can't take care of your needs, he ca certainly point you in the right direction.

We have to be very careful with the acceptance process as we have found that the only way to keep the global hackers out is to accept members manually. Otherwise we would be inundated with drug, sex and other wonderful opportunities overwhelming or threads. As it is, we don't have any issues but we had to give up the automated process of accepting new members.
