Hey all,

I'm totally new to the SE forum, but I'm moving down to Bradenton in July for graduate school and I'll be living there for 4 years. My car is coming with me, so obviously I need a shop who knows their way around a rotary, because I'd prefer to avoid the dealer if I can help it.

I can't help you with a rotary shop there but I went to high school in Sarasota and Bradenton Small world.

Very cool man.

I really need to find a shop down there that knows rotaries though. I'm sure there is one in Tampa (at least I hope so) but I don't want to have to have my car towed an hour or drive an hour if it needs work done.

why not work on it yourself with the amazing guidance from rx8 club? btw my oldest brother lives in that area, its pretty nice

200. I won't have any time. I'll be going to medical school and won't have the ability to work on my car all day. Not to mention, my apartment complex doesn't allow any work to be done on cars in the parking lot.

If no one knows of a rotary expert in Sarasota, I'll push as far out as Tampa if need be.

If you did want to do some work on your Rx8 I would be ok for you to come and work on it at my house in Sarasota. I have basic tools a good jack and stands. As far as a good garage ART know Rotory's Derek the guy who works there had loads of great tips for me and his wife/GF has an amazing Rx7 the shop is near Clarke & McIntosh. The are more of a performance shop then maintenance though but give them a call.
