Rolex 24 anybody??????

The weekend of 28-29 January 2006 is the 44th running of the 24 hours of Daytona and it looks like there will be at least 4 and probably 5 8's running in GT this year. My pal Mark and I have gone for the last couple of years and it is a blast to watch. I worked this thing a few times (all 24 hours) and it is definately more fun to watch and drink. We usually get a hotel room so as to get some sleep not to mention stay warm. Daytona gets REALLY FRIKKIN COLD in January! I f camping is your thing, pack for cold weather.

Our friends at SpeedSource will be campaigning two of the cars in GT as well as the ST cars which will run on Friday.

Should be fun. Details on Daytona's website. sorry not to have the address.

Charlie

Ive been the past 4 years, so this will be year 5.

I already have my tix, for both the testing and actual race, I will be there.

Crazy that Mantis posts this, she always seems to read my mind....lol

Porsche club of america always has an area setup with all the cars parked, i was thinking maby other people would want to do a RX8 or Rotary or Mazda area? Im not sure how, im sure you can contact the track and get a space...could be fun.

You can count me in, as this is a tradition i want to continue!

Im just throwing ideas out there.

Being im in town, ill be driving out in the 8

For those of who are interested in attending Daytona... Please check out this thread.
Classic Mazda of Orlando is considering a "hospitality" area. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

I think with our track day at TGPR on January 21st, there is really no chance I will get to go to Daytona for '06. Bummer, but I would rather drive than watch. I am starting to see the racing line in every corner i go through.
