ROEBLING TODAY (instead of work)
I missed the NASA event last weekend at CMP, but had a relaxing time today at Roebling instead of going to work. There were only six of us to share the track all day (that's right)!
There were five of us hard core track ho's sharing time with an Indy Car. It was really laid back and a lot of fun. A nice break from instructing at a NASA event (although that's fun too).
If I can figure out how to upload some video, I'll share it with you.

A local guy wanted to rent the track privately for he and his son, as well as include others. He got hooked up with the (historic) Indy Car team who had it rented for 2 days. We shared a small portion of the cost with the team for one day, and had all the track time we could stand. Man, I'm tired today!
I'm still trying to find a way to include video.

Hate is a very strong word. I would have invited you ... but you said you were taking the summer off ... too hot you said ... so don't whine.
By the way, the Indy Car reached 195 mph at the end of the straight.

KB - What an awesome way to spend a work day. I am glad you got out there. Aint nothing as satisfying as being able to say "Nah. Gonna sit out as I have had too much track time today!"
Whose Champ Car was it? I wonder what those cars are doing now with the merging of the open wheel series as everyone runs the Dallara chassis just as the new Panoz was getting underway in Champ car. Was it a Panoz?
BTW, why dont you come to the Peachtree BMWCCA Road Atlanta school in mid Sept and instruct too? You will have to bring the 8 as no convertibles are allowed. Registration is at motorsportreg.com

The car is a 1996 Champ Car originally drive by Stefan Johannsen. It is a Reynard with the turbo Cosworth engine. The driver who was at Roebling was new to the car.
