Raleigh, NC Owners
#28
Guys I'm heading out back to my hometown (Marion, NC) about three hours towards the mountains on this coming Thursday. Although if anyone is interested I know two veryyy good roads (deemed "sports car routes") through the mountains. If we could get something together then we could hit up one or two of them. A professional photographer shoots on one of the roads (The Devil's Whip - NC80) and you can buy pics online. I can attest to the quality of them.
If anyone is up either sometime this winter or early spring then I'd be happy to host something in my hometown. It may be a longer drive but the roads are worth it (you could get a hotel room and drive some of the Blue Ridge Parkway on the second day). Just an idea so let me know if anyone is interested!

Raleigh FTW
Hi everyone, I am new to the forums and am looking to meet with other rx8 owners and see what they have done to their cars. I live in north Raleigh and I am fairly new to the area so I don't really know any good driving spots yet, but am open to suggestions. Any advice on upgrades and maintenance are welcome.

Hadn't been on in a while but is anyone planning on rolling to Import Faceoff @ Rockingham??? I don't plan on running but I know some 7's that plan on coming. Any takers?

Sucks I missed this, but, then again, I don't know a lot of car people that would come with me. Not in this state, anyway. Do you know of anything else fun that's going on soon?

there is a car "meet/show" the first saturday of every month in the brier creek shopping center (where 70/540 intersect, in the north west of raleigh and south east of durham) near where the chilis and unos used to be (now a big open parking lot), i thought we might come in with a few dozen rotaries and take it over for a day so we can all meet up and see if we can start setting up our own monthly meeting. just an idea. I believe it starts early, usually a bunch of old proches and corvettes there by 8:30- 9am.

possible meet in raleigh/brier creek
on august fourth i am hoping to go to brier creek and walk around the car meet tht is normally us there the first saturday of the moneth, if your interested please come by but we will have to get there early so we can set up an rx8 section. last time i went (beforee i had my 8) was a few months ago and there were a lot of cars there, i would say 50 or so. mostly porches and corvettes buut some exotics like lambos and ferraris as well as ssome nsxs, there are both muscle and imports. i only saw one dark green 8 there previously but im hoping to get at least 10 to show up one of these times, maybe thhen we can start some regular meeets like the nc rotaries used to do at chargrill on strickland rd a few years ago (when i had my last WB8).
