Sunday @ Macdonald's
Let's meet at Mac's between the outlet mall on 400 just b4 Rt. 53. It's on the right. 10am works for me, we can eat there, and plan the route. I usually go Rt. 60 towards Suches, peeloff on Rt 180 to Lake Windfield Scott, pictures, up to Lake Vogel, grab a pop, bio break, check oil, then 129/19 Deals gap, as much as you want, if we have time off to Rt. 248 (Russel B Senic Hwy) Dukes Creek Falls. Say goodbyes. Avg trip time 2 1/2 hours.
If we are out of Mac's by 10:30 we can beat the Church crow on the twisties.
Be there or be Square
I tried to PM others that wanted to go....didn't work............so tell you friends-let's get some 8's on the road Sunday

I've come down with a stomach virus and would just end up queazy and hurling on those twisties, so I'm out of commission for tomorrow. Have fun, though, guys!

:D Sounds like a great time. Not only would my breakin have to be over, I need to get my nerve back. gravel corners reminds me of my highschool days in South Georgia. Not great for traction. Did you shoot video?

That was the most fun I've ever had driving the 8. It was a pleasure meeting you guys, Nabil and Chris. This was my first time tossing the car around, and it was very educational for me to drive with you guys. By following you all, I have definitely learned more about the limits of my 8, and how to safely drive to those limits. The capabilities of this car continue to amaze me. Thank you both.
We will definitely have to do it again soon!

Great to meet you, the car has alot left, that was about 60%......but 100% safe. Right!!! ......except the gravel stuff, but we have discussed that, "flashers". All that fun, and we all learned something, where the emergency flashers are!
Congrat's have a great weekend planning the rest of your mortal LIFE!!!

Awesome! Hazlehurst, have first cousins in Vidalia... Let's see, what year did we finally beat you guys in football! Oh well, I just checked to see your birth date and see you were born 8 years after I graduated from HS so I guess we can't argue football. Indians right? Dang good teem, always.
Now to the really good stuff... Saturdays at the drag strip in Vidalia! Did you guys have that when you were growing up there? It was the only place we could legally release those hotrods.
Waterskiing on the river, tobacco farming in the summer, mosquitoes and gnats blown from the eye with a finely directed puff of air, yea, I grew up around there.
Small world, eh!

Wow, that's crazy that we're from the same general area. Probably sad that we share similar pastimes, too :D Hwy. 280 is still the "strip" in Vidalia, but no, no more drag strips, at least none that I know of. That would have been a sight to see. Mostly now, people just cruise up and down the strip and then turn around in a parking lot across from the old Brice Cinema (which recently closed--memories of so many high school makeout sessions!:p)
And yes, we were the Indians. Hazlehurst... Screven County? I went to UGA undergrad and law school, so I appreciate your folk--couple of your boys have become Bulldogs between the hedges. But back to Screven Co., you guys had a killer tennis team when I played for VHS. And up until recently, in football, you guys were traditionally faster and, *sigh*, more successful.
Ah, the glory days!
