well damn OD. I am anxious to see how it turns out. I don't read many other threads, so I had no idea you were going to venture down the road of SC. congrats.

I must miss my muscle car day? expected range of hp/torque is approx 260-280hp at the wheels and a flat torque curve(twin screw type supercharger) of ..........ready for this.......over 200! I will be installing this myself (i anticipate many "trips to the shed", the engine management comes with a good base map that will result in a strong output but i will have to tune to get the best streetable output. It's a 6lb boost, has self contained lubrication, a liquid to air intercooler. pretty trick. Looks like i will be the 1st in Ga.
This going to be sweet guys---real sweet. If anyone wants to come down for the install I will make sure there is barb-b-que and drinks(beer AFTERWARDl!)

all are welcome and certainly will never have too many people here.
M8 --i have a feeling you will STILL pass me coming out of 7
With the hp wars going on guys the rx8 is either going to have to step up to the plate or get left in the dust so to speak. I got a feeling FI is in the mazdaspeed future. or the rotary will be no more.

OD, do you think your 8 will still be trackable with the SC kit on?

Hey OD, does Int X have datalogging? I assume it does which will make the tuning work cleaner. I spent a bunch of time on the street with my laptop riding shotgun and the results were truly worth the time investment. I will not claim to be a tuner but I had the luxury of being trained by 2 of the most renowned rotary tuners in the country (The REAL rotary gods) and to the best of my knowledge my engine is still up and running on the same tune. IIRC it made 345/285 whp/tq at 14 psi. I look forward to seeing how it turns out for you.

I'd love to help you with it during the install. Let me know when you're putting it in.

OD, that is great news. MAKE SURE you install an EGR or WideBand. Boost is a great tool, but with the wild weather swings we have, your 02 Saturation can change by as much as one point from summer to winter. That is why I had the SAFC2 (STand alone fuel controller), so I could tune the car to a safe level. I have had it move at Roebling as much as .8 points from morning to afternoon.

You guys thought I was kidding, I really did run less boost than most Evos, 18psi, instead of 23psi.

Oh yeah, I have another suggestion, not sure how much boost youa re running, but get a GOOD BOV. SOme of the off the shelve models start to fail when they get hot.

If you have any questions, I will PM you my information.

Thanks all! Yep M8 data logging can be done....and will be done! Must remember to watch the road. I am assured by pettit , who places a base map into the int x that my car should run fair to well with it. they have placed it on a variety of 8's and all have responded well. I believe a/f and ignition have 16x16 maps each.
I feel like i am in 1st grade again.
STF this is a supercharger kit not a turbo so no BOV should be needed? But right on about the environmental changes--i will be only doing 8 lb boost https://www.rx8club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1189381217
SC8 INSTALLED.JPGand the standalone keeps all the engine safety features(knock sensor etc)https://www.rx8club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1189381217
STAGEII_KIT.jpg
here are some pics--look at the trick liquid to air twin inter coolers.

Discount Coupon Available

OK Folks. Is there anyone out there who is not signed up yet for Roebling, that still might want to go? I have a discount coupon that was promised to someone else, and now he can't use it. So, anyone who is interested needs to let me know as soon as possible.

You'll be glad you did!

I know some of the Cobra guys you BOVs to compete against surge, not sure if it would apply. I also know the 240 guys are running them, and they usually hover around 8psi.

Again, get a wide band, logging is good, but I am a firm believer in BACKUP monitoring on something as critical as A/F. YOu can get a nice PLX, which will log, and can run through your same laptop for about 300.

one good thing if i am not mistaken is that our front o2 sensor is a wide band o2 sensor.
Looks like they are out of int x at present so unsure as to ship date

Yes, it is now sold! I didn't know he would sell it that fast, so I just decided to list it here. Drew might still be coming to watch, or maybe to work if he is allowed.

as good as any, but it might be full, you might want to look into it soon. Barber is a really nice facility, really cool track.

Odd?
How am I odd?

Actually I am very curious about FI and the 8. I don't recommend it and wouldn't do it personally but then again I am not a pioneer by nature nor am I a tinkerer. That said, I am interested in seeing the change even though it is not for me.
