How often do they generally have events at this venue? I really want to go, but I can't make it to this one.

No it usually says short sleeve shirts are ok in the sups. At least it did for CMP, RA, Rockingham, and Roebling. It must be a Barber requirement for the long sleeves. Different tracks have different rules.

I am a somewhat newb - a linky you should save is trackschedule.com

It depends on the organization you want to drive/spectate with. I think this is NASA's first time there. But obviously other orgs go there. Go check the sched for the past few months and check out the different groups that run there. All a bit different, but gives you a better idea if you are looking for a specific track.

I'm still planning on using it. If Lego doesn't show I'll just have some strippers over.

Are the Instructers allowed to run in 3 and 4 or just 4?? I ask because if their is a group of 40+ on the track it is going to get very very crowded.

instructors are in group 4. that is where they are supposed to run, that and TT. at Roebling, we had 3 and 4 together, and when everyone made it on track, we had about 45 cars on a short 2 mile circuit. trains...is the word that came to mind.

That's what I always dread about combining groups, whether I'm at the front of it or the end, neither is very fun.

We were interested in wheels, tires, center console (the piece that runs down the middle), rotors, pads, coils, mats, carpet, and a few other items folks mentioned.
As requested, here is a preliminary list of items. If anyone going to Barber has a special interest in anything please let us know by Thursday night if possible so we can load them onto the trailer to bring with us (read: no shipping charges).

No, Unfortunately, I can't make it. I'm going to have to take the Barber decal off the car.

I put the cart in front of the horse with the track car and no tow vehicle and now it's caught up with me. I've been thinking of renting a vehicle, but it's going to make it unreasonable from a financial standpoint. So, I'm stuck here watching Tivo'd ALMS races instead of driving.

I hope all of you have a great time. I'll have to catch up with you all next season. This way, I at least get to start prepping the car a weekend early for next season.

Sorry to hear that. After Silver's stories about his ride in the 7, I was gonna catch one this weekend. Some other time.
I am gonna try to get down for the 24hrs of Daytona. So I may be picking your brain for places to stay, etc.

No problem, you can ride in the RX-7 anytime I'm at the track.

The Hilton across the street from the track was great last time. Easy (walking) access to the track. Short walk to dinner on the main strip there... Ruby Tuesday's is open 24 hours since they have a car running in the Rolex Series.

brings some long sleeves, and something warm, it might be kinda chilly in the first few run groups of the day, low 50's with the windows down could get a little cool...

Ok, work time is over, I am going home...tomorrow...HEAD TO THE TRACK W00T W00T!!

I am with you Lego! Don called me from the track today to let me hear the IRL cars screaming. Oh well, I'll be in the shop with Steve tomorrow plumbing in the Accusump and prepping for Roebling in november w/Chin.
