NASA SE - Great Pumpkin Run - BMP - Oct 13-14
I've gone 2 off at the top of tunnel hill (both times I was at Barber) with no grass replacement bill. Now if you hit the armco, thats an entirely different story... I know because last time I was there an M3 was written off and the owner had to replace a bunch of armco at no small expense.
When I drove at a AL SCCA event at Barber, at the driver meeting, the guy in charge of the grounds was there and the topic came up about going into the grass and he said they do charge people for that anymore.
As you get faster, you will eventually get two wheels off. It's not tragic... just don't do at at barber on the right side of the track just before making the left hand turn at the kink! Trash on the tires there is a que for disaster.
Those of you who would like to squeeze one more in before the end of the year (and who here couldn't use an early Christmas present?), check out the PBOC event in November at Barber. The cost is $400 for the weekend. You can also sign up for just 1 day. If you have never driven Barber, the NASA weekend will just whet your appetite. You will want/need more Barber (and cowbell). There is something just amazing cresting tunnel hill and feeling the car wiggle under you as you rocket to the apex of 12 at the top of 3rd gear.

Quick thought for everyone. Barber is gonna happen really quickly after RR, so might be a good time to start thinking about hotels and whatnot. L8 is checking out a few. If you already have it under control, great. I just didn't wanna get stuck in Anniston 45 min away.

but unless you are already signed up, you need to, soon, I think the word is that the event is already getting close to being SOLD OUT.

I did not qualify.
OnRails - Pull out the friggin T.. and sign your *** up. You're gonna be pissed if you miss this. I am a cash weary at the moment, but I saw this track at the Rolex/Koni and had to go.
Let's just say they run the Rolex/Koni Challenges there. It is a heck of an impressive place.

they work bets there. I am not much for off roading, or kitty litter.
Only about 2 hours to fly....wonder how you would go about strapping an RX-8 to a Cessna?
