You are correct. Stock size is 225.

 

TTD tire width is 245. If you run a narrower tire, you can subtract points. Running 225s allows you to subtract 4 points. That's what OD was talking about.

OD, I'm VERY comfortable an the track with these guys. I think I could do TT as well. I'm not scheduled to run RR but will be running BMP. I think I will finish this season out in DE3 then think about my options for 08.

 

Just checked my points assessments for classing. I'll be running in TTF. +25 points. Ken will no longer win the trophy by default. He'll have to earn it this time.

TA lets talk at Atlanta about doing TT at Roebling. It will be a good track to start TTD on. Upon addition of all my points look like i can run with the midpipe on and still qualify for ttd. May not do Roebling if others arent going. Whats left?

In looking at your earlier post, you can run the mid pipe and gain 2 more points so you are still less than 20 total keeping you in TTD.

 

I FINALLY got the car cleaned today up from the CMP trip. Swapped out the rear RB sway bar for the stock one (I forgot how much beefier the RB bar was than stock), replaced the front brakes that were at about 10-15% life left (rear is at 50% still). Damn, I have real brake feel again. Now onward to GTE......

Um, I'd like to see the GA group pull off a 1, 2, 3 TTx win at RA........that'd be cool

I've never been to three day event with NASA, what events/sessions do they run on Friday?

OD, I'll be at RR, L8 will be there, TA will be there, I think Silver and Dano are going...hell, I think L8 is even running in DE3 that weekend....I'll be at Barber as well.......

Dano here - you met me again this weekend at BMP. BTW - thanks for hanging out - enjoyed it alot.
As of now, alot of us are planning on camping RA. Toss up a tent and just hang out. Its pretty local for some folks, but Tent City sounded like a fun idea.

Phlash, I signed up for RA, and really want to do Barber after seeing it this weekend. RR is not out of play (want to go there too!) but have to see if I can work all 3 out.

From the NASA site about Friday......

We plan* to have 4 groups using the track on Friday broken into 20 min sessions. At a minimum that will provide roughly 4-5 sessions per day for each group. We are also planning** on turning on the timing equipment for the Test & Tune group and the Competition School's last two sessions.

Rough outline of schedule for friday:
1) All Hands meeting

2) Test & Tune
3) HPDE 3
4) Competition School
5) Instructor Clinic

...repeat steps 2 thru 5 with an hour break for lunch...

4:30p) Mock race at end of day for Competition School

*it Depends on sizes of the groups participating, if we have one group that is small then we might combine it with another group and you'll get more sessions.

**provided we have enough staff to man the timing equipment and take care of all of the issues related to missing/nonfunctional transponders, etc.

Ok, we have to choose.......I can bring either the grill or the second ez-up.....can't fit both.......but either will fit.....if no grill, Val, buddy, old pall.........we need it for two nights????

 

i am bringing small ice chest(drinks and water) , tent, chair, bug spray, and fan. packing light and traveling fast. may bring a crock pot. turn it on and all can throw something in. bottle of hot sauce or catshup or packets of taco bell sauce--who cares. That and a loaf of bread and you can eat all w/e.
