Cracked rotors? Ask Big Pine Key, he replaces his every 2 weekends. (That's where you guys got your "new" and very sporting eazy-up weights)

Here is my wet video with comments about what's happening (Next time I'll pick a neater font.). It's a 7 min highlights of our very wet session and it's pretty slow @ first then picks up (Some). Yes the visibility was better than it looks on this low res video. Keep an eye out for a pretty big slide on the very last few seconds..

You came around me just out of turn 7 on the last lap and stayed right in front of me the rest of the lap and cool down. I commented to my instructor, "That's one of our gang" when you went by. We watched you take the same wet lines I was taking. I couldn't believe you spun on the cool down lap. I was looking for an escape route with not much room to move quickly but you pulled it together. Good recovery!

Here are a couple of my videos.

This one is with BPK on Sunday morning. (24 min)

This one is from Monday at the SuperStreet Time Attack behind Nabil.

Nabil, I've got a 3.6GB very high resolution video of this on DVD coming your way. I'm travelling for business this week, but I'll send it out first thing when I get back.

lego, you need to get your camera mount, just a little higher. IMO, there is a little too much dashboard and gear shifter in the frame, and not enough forward visibility.

TA< when you get that DVD, I would like to have a look at it too!

Did not spin.. Just swung the tail out a bit. My instructor was suggesting trying the regular line for a couple laps and I figured I'd try on the cool down lap. When I saw the BMW swing his tail out a bit it sorta encouraged me to combine trying the slick line and throw in a little extra gas for good measure...

I was surprised to see that the tail came out a bit more than expected As you can see on the video both my instructor and I laughed it off.

Lego, great video and thanks for the ride, that was a ton of fun!

wet roads are amazing, at what little input it takes to get loose. Happened to me on my way to wrok today, a little quick to make the light out of my street, and the tail started to get loose, TC came on, and helped me out, and I was not going all that quick, it was just a wet road. And tires that are nearly bald. I am picking up new ones this weekend. Good thing too.

Good videos guys, makes me jealous, I really can't wait to get back on the track.

Doggone, that's the truth! I change rotors almost as often as I change skivvies.

That's a good video, Lego. I like your driving style I enjoyed the ride. The RX8's are impressive cars the way they corner and brake. And you guys drive 'em like they're supposed to be driven.

Lego, I noticed in a latter lap after shifting down to 3rd, you left it there thruough the esses to try it out and a different line (I believe) for T-5. You told Jody that was the fastest you have ever taken that turn and you seemed pretty happy after finishing up T-7. How do you feel about that now. I also noticed you took it into Monday as well but your reverted back to 4th entering the esses.

I'm interested in your progression, if you care to share.

Thanks!

It was a great weekend, even with the rain and the videos help to remeber how great it was. I was surprised to see open passing in HPDE3, but certainly happy that everyone behaved themselves. I had a fantastic time meeting everyone, giving a few rides, and hanging out on the hill and enjoying a few adult beverages with those that stuck around Saturday night. I hope to do it again soon.

Roar is taking two cars to CMP this coming weekend for some quick test and tuning and then heading out to Utah for the race the following Friday.

Good driving everybody and be safe!

Rob

Good to here from ya Rob! That was a great w/e was nt it. I HATE RAIN--especially in turn 5 when a bmw325 spun in front of me with 4 cars close behind!
Glad the new suspension is working out and good luck on the heat issues(weather is a little cooler!)
Since we are getting a LITTLE more aggressive/faster we are revisiting the safe house(at least I am)
