Looking for trusted shop/mechanic in East TN
Hi all.
I've done some searching, but the last posts I find with info about shops in TN are many years old.
I'm looking for information on trusted shops/mechanics in the East TN area (Knoxville/Chattanooga and in between) to establish a long-term customer relationship with.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
A little background... I own an '04 RX8 currently sitting just over 54000 miles. Drove it daily in MN for 5 years, and have been storing it winters since. Still drives like a dream and has no mechanical issues, but now that I'm in TN I want to give it a little TLC and a tune up.

Thanks. I've seen him mentioned but wasn't aware he did more routine work in addition to rebuilds. I'll email him.
He's about an hour and a half from me, so if anyone's aware of other good options please let me know.

There is someone on the rebuilders thread in N.C.**, Idk if that's any close than RR.
If you do find a shop that does routine rotary work or rebuilds that's not on the list, please post it to the Rotary Rebuilders thread.
Thanks and Good Luck!

Awesome, that's a great resource BigCajun. I will definitely let you know if I find anyone new.
By the way, does RX8Club have a Discord server by chance?
Most of the other forums I follow have associated Discords that are more active these days.

you might also ask over on RX7Club.
there are a lot of long term rotary people there who live in central- east TN, but Keven at RR is well familiar with the Renesis engine and RX8 specifics
there are differences that a general rotary shop may not be as proficient with

probably because it’s not worth the effort for a forum that is going to having a continuing decline in profit and feasibility of doing so.
it’s also not up to the moderators, but the owners; Internet Brands (IB).
but feel free to send a PM to this username: IB Jason

FYI I did hear back from Kevin at RR. He said he doesn't have an affiliated shops or any recommendations for the kind of general preventive maintenance and tune-up work I'm looking for.

Yep, that's understandable. I'm something like 10 years behind the curve it seems, but don't have the tools, knowledge, or space to do the work myself yet.
Regardless, I do appreciate everyone's help.

I got my fd from addicted. They did my Rew rebuild. The motor runs flawless but they are busy so expect to have a long wait. If it's just routine stuff. Or upgrades I'm sure it would be alot faster than a rebuild would take.
