I certainly am glad to be here
After lusting for this car for the past two years, finally graduating from GATech in August, and driving past Mazda of Roswell constantly, I finally stopped in Thursday afternoon on a whim and left a few hours later with a velocity red GT. I've loved every second of it, and I'm not exactly sure why I'm indoors at the moment. I'm still recovering from the shock of my first half-tank of 93 octane only getting me 75 miles
but I doubt I'll change my driving habits anytime soon to rectify that. As soon as I get some kind of non-FM ipod hookup I'll be in heaven.
Anyway, just introducing myself, hope to see some ATL 8 owners around sometime.

Welcome to the cult. The Ga RX8 gang also has a website www.garx8club.com and it is worth joining. We have get togethers, track days, etc.
If your car is brand new, go to racing beats website and read their break in procedures. It is worth doing it right but hard to control your right foot. Enjoy your new car!

Welcome and enjoy the new car. Now that you have it, you're going to have to join us on some of our outings after you break it in. Road Atlanta is coming up. We don't have enough VRed RX-8's in the bunch, we could use another!
Sadly enough not new, 2004, but I'm not even sure how I got the credit for the [much] cheaper used. Also I wanted red, spoiler, GT, fog lights...and it's been a long time since I saw a new one specced like that. Who knows if it was broken in properly, but oh well, seems to work fine for me
I joined up at garx8club, and look forward to future events. Thanks for the welcome.

Haha I'll be sure to do that when I make it downtown. The one I used to see a lot when I went to Tech was a red one, always parked at Rocky Mtn Pizza, the license plate was MOLOKO or something like that. Always fueled my lust.
Welcome to the cult, you are now surrounded by a bunch of gear heads, who have rotary powered hearts. I have throughly enjoyed myself since this group got together. We are always planning something, going somewhere, or just hangin out. Look forward to meeting you.
