Just letting you know there are 2 events going on at Homestead Speedway in March.
On Saturday the 5th the Rolex series will be coming through.

Then on Sunday the IRL will be there:

So lets see if we can get a good turnout for this. Not sure how many of you guys are IRL fans, so Sunday might not be best for everyone. I know of some guys that are going both days. However, being that Saturday is the Rolex series which has the Speed Source RX-8s, lets have a good showing to support our hometown guys.
So lets see if we can get another caravan going, as time gets closer I'll post up the details.

BTW: This Saturday there will be pace car laps given around the track... "You will be driven around the banks by a pro driver"

Sorry to put a damper on your hopes but the Speedsource RX-8's will not be at Homestead as this is a ROLEX series ONLY event. Grand-AM CUP is what the Speedsource cars run in. HOWEVER.... The season opener is at Daytona on Thursday and Friday Feb. 3rd and 4th. Anyone going up? We like so see as many rotory fans as possible cheering us on.

No, Speed Source will not be there, but the Goldin Brothers will. If you don't know, they built a three rotor tube frame RX-8 that made its debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona two weeks ago. It's a beauty.

I did not realize the race was on Saturday! This actually makes things better for me. I had told Steve Goldin today that I probably wouldn't make the race, but that's because I thought it was on Sunday. I still don't know if I'll make it, but its much more likely now. I'm also going down there this weekend to tour their shop for an upcoming issue of RX Tuner.

I URGE you all to make it and come spread the rotary love. I'm sure the team would love to see some support.

Anyone? I'll be there Saturday morning. There's a few people on the RX-7 Forum that have expressed interest in going.

 

I'm going, and I'll be decked out in an RX8Club.com shirt and RX8 hat :D

 

I'll be wearing something rotary related. I'll have the RX-7 with me.

Do you have any info on ticket prices, etc? I've searched the Homestead Miami Speedway site to no avail. If I can't get in for free, I'd like to know what it's going to set me back ahead of time.

 

I'm not sure about the cost... I get in for free :o
