Newbie RX8 owner and first-time poster here. Just got my 2010 Sport last week and saw there was a Holiday Laps session at VIR today. Left home with 585 miles on the clock, so I arrived at VIR with over 600 - official break-in period is over! Ran into a couple of other RX8 owners from Raleigh at the track. Had a blast and discovered three things: the redline alarm works, the speedo does go above 100, and the wife sitting beside me does not enjoy either of those.

It was a beautiful day - there were ton of cars there. I think I got lucky by being able to floor it down the straights; some other groups look like they were being held up by one slow car and were all running around at about 40mph.

I intend to go to a track day at VIR next summer, so maybe I'll run into some more of you NC & VA owners then.
