Good experience at these local shops (South Florida)

Over the past few months, I've had nothing but good experiences at these locations....

TavRacing, Doral FL - Gustavo (shop owner and sole mechanic) is a former Indy Light race car driver. He specializes in Impreza (WRX, STi) / Lancer (Evo) and RX8. He's located in Doral and does most any kind of install. He recently installed a set of Koni's and H-tech springs on my car (knew about loosening the control arm bolts for loading the suspension to allow the springs to compress), as well as changed out the tranny and diff. fluids (using Motul) at a very reasonable rate. He's also worked on my WRX with nothing but professional results and service.

Miami Muffler, Perrine FL - Miguel Jr has fabricated some very nice custom exhausts for me over the past few years. The latest, for my RX8, was done based on verbal exlpaination of what I wanted. He mandrel bends, custom fabricates most anything exhaust related that will bolt on to an exhaust manifold.
You get to basically stand next to your car while the work is being done.

Lehman Mazda, Miami Gardens, FL - Parts dept. is great. Overnight ordered some brake rotors (for pick-up) for a nominal $9 charge (with no payment up front) when I described via phone that I needed the rotors as back-up for Sebring this weekend. They were really excited to hear that the car is being tracked. Other local parts shops quoted me 5 days delivery and made no effort to look for alternatives.

Perhaps forum members can tack on their good experiences (RX8 related) on this thread so that people can share the positive vibes in the South Florida area....

Cheers.

Gustavo at TAV is not only a great installer, but also one hell of a driver. He can also do great track set ups (he will be able to do an alignment soon).

Carlos Lopez is the Cuban version of Amemiya (also one hell of a driver)

Max at Edge Racing has the best deals on wheels and tires

Johanne and Rene at Econo Tires offer great service and prices on tire installation

Pepe at Dynamic Turbo has and will always be my parts supplier.

RacingBrake.com has the best brake rotors/prices/service imo.

There is only one shop that touches my car.

http://www.pettitracing.com/

They specialize in RX8 and GenIII RX7. If there are parts your looking for they help you find them. If it's on the weekend and need parts info I just call Alex.

-1000000000000000000 for Potamkin.

You couldnt PAY ME to have my car serviced there.

Its 3 months later and Im STILL WAITING for the PPF bolt I ordered.

If anyone needs intercooler/exhaust piping fabrication, Miami Muffler is top notch, great prices, and great work. They fab. up anything you can realistically draw up for an exhaust system.
